50lb Summer Challenge

I'm a bit gutted - I really upped the exercise, did my mindful eating most of the time and definitely cut my portion sizes but only 1lb off. I think I'm more gutted that I am paying SW €9 to weigh in - then I stay to meetings and the contents don't really interest me - I'm fed up of being told about syn stretching and getting more food for my buck by eating seasoned cardboard. Mugshots and pasta in sauce - I just don't eat them, hifi - yuk. My contribution to tonight's discussion was crispy kale and people looked at me like wtf.
Time to buy a new pair of scales I think. Anyone recommend one? Wondering whether to try and find a second hand pair of tanita analyser scales ...

Hiya all, scales say I'm 15st 12lb today, I've read the book, had the hypnotic band installed and I am really excited i feel so motivated especially reading everyone's stories. Finding time to sit at table to eat will be a challenge but one I'm prepared to take on!!
My weigh day will be Saturday it's easier for me and I will have time to update everyone of my losses!! (positive thinking!)

Hello, I have just started the Paul McKenna plan, after doing SW and so many other diets before it. Got a bit of a scare last week as the optometrist spotted a very tiny haemorrhage at the back of my eye when I got my eyes tested for new glasses. It could be an indication for early type 2 diabetes so been to GP for check up and need a blood test.
So, I really, really want to do it this time.

I am fed up counting points and syns, allowed to eat this but not that, someone mentioned mugshots and pasta in sauce that a lot of people on SW eat, disgusting, in my opinion, rather eat real food. So after a long history of dieting here I am with Paul McKenna, been doing it for 2 days now, really enjoyed my food and no feelings of guilt because I ate something that wasn't on some diet sheet.

50 lb seems a lot, but I would like to join in as well please, WI tomorrow morning as I have been losing a couple of lb in the last few weeks.

I have lost 1.5lb this week
:D that is on 5 days following SW and the last 2 days on Paul McKenna's HGB. So far so good. I am reading his Freedom from Emotional Eating atm, because I am an emotional eater. I have a lot of stress in my life and use food for comfort and to push bad feelings down. So hopefully this will help. PMcK uses the Havening technique in this book as well.

How is everyone else doing? Have a good day

:bighug:
p.s. I love crispy kale, roasted in the oven, Porkscratching!

Well done so far on the losses!..

We really are gonna crack this weight loss lark once and for all xxx

Hi - another SW'er. I had read about kale crisps but made them accidently in the microwave the first time (I thought the leaves would have enough water in them to steam themselves but after a few minutes I got these really crispy leaves that were a bit like crispy seaweed but no deep frying. Love them as a change for lettuce in a rare beef and strawberry salad or instead of crisps in front of the telly with loads of salt and pepper.
How are you finding the emotional eating book - it's a big prob with me at certain times, got my head in the zone at the moment and a "binge" is way less severe than it used to be but I still succumb to eating trying to fill an emotional need, although now I get over it and move, on rather than writing off a whole week (or month ).
Have a great week.
Good to see the losses starting.

Not read the whole book yet but so far it makes sense and I recognise myself in it. It has a trance cd and a Havening DVD with it, I listened to the trance cd last night, but fell asleep so no idea how much of that I took in, lol.
I watched the Havening DVD this morning and Paul stands right in front of you doing it which I thought was good, a bit repetitive and not as many different things to do as on the Havening dvd in the HGB. Just rubbing your arms, counting and some eye movements left and right, no singing happy birthday or anything, lol.
10 minutes later a situation with my teenage daughter developed which could have easily spiralled into a dark day for me and lots of eating later on when I was on my own, but I stood in the kitchen and did the Havening etc and I felt calm and in control and handled the situation beautifully if I say so myself ;):D

I do feel a bit like a numpty doing it but if it works, well, it's worth it.

Lol.. So understand the numpty feeling!

but good on you

xxx

I started at the gym today! Hooray! Well done me, even though I do say so myself!!! Let's see if this speeds weight loss up :)
Well done on the losses so far everyone!

Can I join please?

I'm on a low-fat diet due to having gallstones in the past, also I had my first baby 7 months ago and I need to lose A LOT of weight!!!!
