Hi folks,

Well off to the Caribbean this time next year, and would love to be at target or as close as possible to it by then, but i don't know if it is possible. :eek:
Has anyone done it?
Do you have any tips?
It's def a motivator because you can't hide under baggy jumpers and sweats in caribbean heat lol

Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you :) xx

Yep its totally possible, I would split it up into small chunks though 7lb at a time just like SW. Also little rewards non food related along your journey will help too. Its not a race its changing the way we think about food. This forum is brilliant for advice and support, good luck! :)

Know it will be an uphill battle but would love to be able to wear shorts and very tops...such little things but massive implications for the way you feel :) x
 
So let's say you have 50 weeks, if there are a couple of weeks where you aim to maintain for Christmas or birthdays or whatever.
6 stone is 84lb. That's 1.7lb to lose per week. Most people can expect to lose 1-2lb a week on average if you stick to plan (and you may well get a really good loss in week 1 to kick things off).
So yes, it is ABSOLUTELY do-able, and even if you have some off weeks, you can expect to be very close by this time next year and feeling so much better :)

I'm only 5ft nothing so it all shows sadly. I got to 10st for my wedding years ago but even that was still a 14/16, I wish I didn't have to lose so much, but it's my own fault and I'm the only one who can fix it ... So here's to it!

One day at a time. Think about what you want to achieve. Where you could potentially go wrong and what you can do prepare for it. Try and eat as much super free as possible. I am going to the and eat more super free veg rather than all fruit xx

I want to try and also do the no processed food, which I think for the most part SW encourages anyways so the two should tie in as long as I stay away from sweetener and mug shots etc.

Am actually really excited :D x
 
Hi - yes you can do it - I did 6 stone in exactly 12 months - its going to take hard work and dediccation but it is possible :) Good luck! :)

I'd say totally possible if you're truly determined, and the Caribbean has to make you motivated! I've lost 4 stone in the last 6 months, so I'm proof! :)

Hi pixie gem - I'm in a similar boat to you as I have a holiday in August and want to lose 4-5 stone by then and would like to lose at least another stone after that by Christmas if at all possible.

I have been on SW before, but I'm a terrible one for sabotaging my own efforts!

I'll hold your hand if you hold mine ;)

I've got my first weigh in tomorrow!

Well done on your losses so far - that's a brilliant start!

And I see you are a fellow shortie too! Ideally I should be about 7 stone - I think just one of my legs weighs more than that at the moment :D

Yeah am a short arse lol, it says between 7-8st for me, but I'm sticking with 8 until I get there and then I shall decide :) xx
