i started xenical last friday so im nearly a week in now and i just and a few questions for any people in the know!

if your not getting the tango effect, is it still working? (my hubbys on it too weve eaten the same and hes had a few tango moments whereas i havent)

does anyone follow slimfast whilst on it as a way to keep track of calories? not their branded snacks but the shakes?

what kind of losses are normal? im 19st6 now i had lost 22lb but gained 3 in the 2 weeks previous to starting.

    is the wind normal?!?!?

    thanks

    Hi Nicola,

Yes, Xenical is still working if you don't get the tango effect, in fact if you do get it you are doing something wrong. It might be that you tolerate some foods well but your husband doesn't? eg salmon and eggs are both against the Xenical rules but some people can eat them fine but some can't.
There are a few people here who did/are doing slimfast, the shakes are fine I think but some of the bars are against the rules.
Losses vary so much from person to person I can't really comment on that one and finally, yes, I have had wind issues too!

I was on slimfast too (although changed to maxitone as the level of sugars in slimfast was worrying me).

I also suffered from the wind problem but when i changed from making the slimfast shakes with milk to soya milk (which is also higher in protein) this went away.

There are a couple of us on the shake replacement and xenical so it is ok.

I have lost a grand total of 25.5lb since i started in March !

brilliant thanks for your replies, my hubbys has other health issues and takes alot of meds so that maybe why hes tolerating things less also im being a bit stricter than him but hes still doing amazingly well considering his old diet!
ill have to try soya milk does it taste the same? and is it the same calories? using the slimfast im sticking to 1400calories a day and exercising for 35mins most nights in the gym on cardio so hopefully i will see a nice loss tomorrow whe i weigh in at tesco!
thankyou for your advice and welldone on your brilliant losses!
