A Final Year Sugar Junkie

    Okay so i have an addiction to all things sweet and sugary. I thought i had it under control but sense a recent trip on Holiday .....BOOM! Their back with a vegenous, along with the extra tyres :mad:. Its like my mind still thinks its in holiday mode were it can just keep eating vast amounts of ...(i would like to say fine foods but its basically ) JUNK.
    And studying from home doesn't exactly help matters either as the fridge and biscuit tin are always within arms reach. This makes me wonder how do you beat the cravings when working/studying from home???? Pathetically, I have resorted to putting fat photos of myself as my screensaver on my phone, but unfortunately even unsightly as they may be it isnt enough to come between me and chocolate.
    So any good tips? because quite frankly my 'decaff coffee with sweetner' just isn't doing it.
    Well I have decided to write a diary, in order to gain some control over my excessive love for the puddings, and slim down for the summer; Along with hearing some of your inspirational stories and thoughts on maintaining a healthy slimming diet, in particularly students. This is because being a final year student fast foods, and chocolate seem to always be the quickest and tastiest option when taking a break from the work load rather than making dinner,... or god for bid ...doing some exercise.

    That aside today has been somewhat clog artery free, with my only syns being weight watchers roasted garlic pasta sauce (even though i had two helpings of pasta), and a fox's triple bar. Having ONE chocolate bar is quite an achievement for me, because normally once i have one i can't stop and devour an entire packet. What do you do to stop your hand going for a second, then a third, fourth etc?.
    Being a typical student i have no concept really of cooking, and i tend to buy ingredients which at the time seemed good ('oh these are superfoods, yoink ill buy them') even though i have know idea what to put them in. CHICKPEAS??? what can i do with chickpeas??

    Anyway this has been somewhat of an enjoyable first diary post, and i look forward to hearing your tips and advice.

    P.s. My boring food Diary Below for anyone interested on what i have consumed today. No crazy sugar binges to report .

    My food Diary today:
    I had a yummy bowl of bran flakes with a banana for breakfast.
    Lunch was a yogurt and an apple.
    And dinner was two helpings of pasta with roasted garlic pasta sauce with mixed peppers,onion and mushrooms, followed by dessert: a cuppa and a triple biscuit.
    Oh and i even squeezed in a wee walk with the doggie.
