A moment on the lips... a lifetime on the hips

    Please help!

    I have been on the cambridge diet for 12 days now and so far lost 10lbs in my first week.

    Unfortunately yesterday I had a massive moment of weakness and ate a Mcdonalds Delux with bacon, a chicken snack wrap and a terrys chocolate orange.

    I feel so ashamed of myself and I am due to weigh in on Thursday next week. I feel like i've put on a stone from doing it.

    I did my ketstix this morning and this evening and they say I am still burning fat quite well but I don't understand?? Surely i've ruined Ketosis from doing this?

    Do you think I have gained weight from this?

    I now know how bad I feel and I can assure myself it will not happen again but can someone tell me there experience of when they've slipped up??:break_diet:

    hi hun
    ketones are excreeted in the urine either when our bodies burn our own fat or when we consume dietary fat, the ketones in your urine are coming from the fat you ate im afraid, you will not be in ketosis after eating that.
    put this behind you make sure you drink lots of water, tomorrow is a new day isnt it, you went on the diet to not be fat anymore, dont lose sight of that!!

    Well it won't be on your hips for a lifetime that's for sure, not if you get straight back on that CD wagon. As Nat says, drink plenty & get your focus back, what's done is done but it won't be a disaster is you've got until next Thursday before your weigh in.

    Aww you poor thing, do get straight back on track and dont dwell on the past. If you continue to beat yourself up over it you may well just give in.....and you dont want to do that.

    **** and this may be your lesson learnt not to do it again and therefore don't beat yourself up about it!
