A question about exercise

I would like to lose weight at a good rate, but do want to exercise too. How much is too much?

I spent 30 mins in the gym this morning, 10 on treadmill, 10 on crosstrainer and 10 on the bike and used up 180 calories. Doesnt sound like much I know, but I felt I managed so much better today than normal, and managed to keep my heart rate in the green instead of the usual amber (which is often hard due to the meds I take).

I know if you exercise too much on a VLCD it can really slow up your losses, but I would likr to continue with the gym 3 times a week as it does make me feel so much better. How many calories should I be looking to burn, anyone help?
 
I think the general consensus if not to do cardio exercise on VLCD. I think it depends which step you are at ? Are you doing TFR?
 
Expect slower losses

I train intensely, have done from day three. Just add in extra protein or an extra pack

Take it easy, listen to your body and stay hydrated

It only slows losses because many people up the exercise without upping the water!!!!

So become dehydrated and then they hold water....

So make sure you up your water on gym days and you'll be fine!!! : ) X
