A VLCD Journal

That plateau lasted for 10 long days. I am back on track now. :)

I had a delicious meal last evening: leeks, carrots, asparagus, and grilled prawns. Yum!

I am overjoyed I have found out that Fage yogurt is available around here. I had heard great things about it and it is really delicious.

Today I am having a fage 0%, chicken, carrots, and raisins salad.

Someday I will try using fage in a crustless quiche.

Planned for today: between 388 and 500 calories

That high number on Sunday was because I went to a birthday party. There is no way of knowing how many calories I had there but I think I have overestimated them. Anyway, I walked 7 miles in the morning that day to make up for it.

I am trying to do longer walks lately but I am getting blisters on my heels. My shoes are good, I think the problem is my cotton socks. I will go shopping for special socks sometime soon.

It has been fun 3 weeks. My sister was here visiting me so I took few days off my diet. I am very close to an "overweight" BMI so I decided to increase my calories a little bit from high 400s to high 500s or low 600s.

Yes! I am no longer obese!!!

However I noticed I have a lot of flabby skin on my belly...

Congrats - on not being obese anymore , not on the flabby belly!!!

Sometimes it takes a while for your skin to catch up - moisturise, moisturise, moisturise!!!! I use Bio-oil or Palmers Stretchmark cream - which is cheaper! And sit-ups!!

Well done - been reading your "homemade" VLCD info with interest - you seem to be doing really well - one of the guys on LL forum is also looking at trying to devise something - maybe you should share your plan with him

Keep it up - doing great!

Hi Carol!

You are talking about Mike's thread, right? I have been following it.

Uh. I put on 1 kg in 24 hours even though I ate really well yesterday (tomato+carrot+cabbage+chicken stock soup, 2 crusts away toasts, prunes, small oats biscuit, yogurt; 615 calories, 13g fat, 40g carb, 19g protein) but last afternoon TOM started. I am eating mostly proteins today to make up for yesterday's carbs.
