Advice please? LLL vs RTM...

Hi RTMers...

Well, I am moving over onto the new LL Lite programme to lose my last stone before coming over to RTM. I found this description on the LLL section of the forum and was just wondering how it compared to the stages of RTM - is it a bit like the first week of RTM over and over, or a bit of a hybrid between a few weeks...?

So, from what I can gather LLL works on the basis of:

3 shakes or soups
2 shakes or soups plus 1 bar
1 protien meal (say meat, fish etc) with loads of salad or veg (no carbs)
There is also a daily dairy allowance - milk for hot drinks or cheese

It's a LCD, apposed to a VLCD such as LL or CD, and around 800 cals per day. LLL works on 4-week modules with a closed group of up to 12 ladies or 12 men (same sex groups only) and they state the average weight loss during a 4-week module is around 1 stone. You have a weekly class for weigh-ins and chats, which I found really helpful during LL Foundation last year.
After I've finished I will be doing the full on RTM (12 weeks) rather than the normal Lighter Life Lite 4 week version... because I've been a 'traditional LLer' since August.

Anyway - was just curious.

yup its like the menu that rtm'rs have after day 3 on rtm! for the first 3 days were only allowed the protein, but then the salad comes in. and on first week yad usually be on bout 600 cals...if ur doing it where u up the cals by 100 each week!! xxx

Yeah looks pretty much the same Anna. I gotta be honest, it's a pretty good menu. I'm half way through week 2 and most of the stuff I have is still from week 1.

Good luck on LLL by the way. It sounds like the middle ground between full abstinence and eating that you need. I'm sure it'll work out for you. :)

Cool, thanks Catz. I think the LLL programme works on about 800 cals per day, so it's a bit more (probs from the dairy)... and stays the same throughout the 4 weeks (or longer depending on weight loss)...

At least I know I'll be able to come on here and have a moan/ask for help on meals etc... the LLL section is very quiet as it is still so new.

Hahaha Guy - if you can find it, it is probably on about page 26 by now!! Ok deal - let's post on there still... will make a concerted effort... I will change the title now to say it contains food talk, just incase any nosey peeps are passing our way! :)
