Total Solution Aisha's Exante Adventure

Hi Aisha. You're doing really well. Hope you get your boiler sorted soon!

Hey Lynne

Thanks hun...my builder has fixed it for me for now and British has are sending in an engineer from the manufacturers on Monday so fingers crossed I'll have a healthy boiler soonish.

How has your day been? I'm going to pop over to your diary after I've had my dinner xx

Hi Aisha. At least we won't have to worry about you freezing with no boiler. I've done OK today. I'm not doing 100% at the moment but rather having one pack and 2 low carb meals or 2 packs and a low carb meal. I'm going up to my mother's in Northumberland tomorrow evening and staying until Monday morning so will have real difficulty staying low carb then!

Oh I'm so grateful that the boiler is working because Exante has made me feel the cold more plus I tend to feel the chill a little more due to my thyroid being underactive.

I think that you've made really wise choice by low carbing instead of totally going off plan and I'm sure that you'll make up for any treats that you have at your mums. It's so good to see how people manage the eating plan when socialising because it gives me more options than the Exante website does. I was thinking of adding a low carb meal to my menu if I've got dinner out with friends and I'm lucky that my AAM week falls on my TOTM week so the extra food should hopefully keep me on track lol

Hi Aisha, It's great that you are on here writing about your experience, It really does help. I wish I could do TS but I did CD last year and my hair fell out and had permanent TOTM, so for some reason my body doesn't take to it, but it's great for losing weight. I lost 22lbs in my 1st month, I put the weight back on as I started stuffing my face straight after I came off it lol. This time is different, I will keep the weight off, I don't want to be fat at 30, I want to see pics of myself and not cringe, and I want my 10 stone boyfriend to be able to pick me up without getting a hernia ha ha x

Hey Lani :wavey:

Welcome to my diary and thank you for posting hun...I need all of the encouragement that I can get lol

Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with CD - I can imagine how scary that may feel because I had exactly the same symptoms as you when my Underactive thyroid was undiagnosed and it was horrible because I was too weak to go into college and had to drop out of my course :(

I lost 2st with slimming world a few years ago but I couldn't keep up with cooking separate meals for myself and my family so I gave it up and the weight has crept back up :sigh2:

Well I was 30 in May and I tried to get back on Slimming World a few months before it but it just didn't happen so now I'm aiming for a bikini body for my 31st ;)

I know what you mean about the pics...my friend sent me pics of me from my holiday in Morocco and they shocked me enough to give up solid food and give Exante a go

Well minimins is like a family so I'm sure we'll all reach our goals by supporting and encouraging each other :family2::bighug::clap::happy096::patback::whip::giggle:

Have you got a diary on here that I can go visit? xx

Good evening all :)

Well what can I say...I haven't weighed myself but I feel thinner already :O I don't know if it's psychological as I'm only on day 4 but my abs are feeling a lot tighter so I'm pleased with that :D I've had another 100% day so far and I've not felt hungry at all today which gives me hope for the weekend lol

I was under the misconception that the meal packs weren't suitable for me because they are not halal (practicing Muslims only eat meat/meat products and other food that is permissible to eat according to islamic law) so I did a bit of research by actually reading the Exante website properly and found that I can eat them after all so I've now ordered a variety of 50 meals :D :D

Here's what I had today...

Day 4 07/11/2013 - Total Solution

Breakfast - Banana shake

Lunch - Half a chocolate orange bar

Mid afternoon - remaining chocolate orange bar

Dinner - Latte made with vanilla shake, coffee and sweetener heated in the microwave for 2 minutes.

Fluids for today - 3.5L water and 2 x 300ml of black coffee.

I've just had a big lecture from a friend who wanted to go out for breakfast with me but didn't want me bringing my meal replacement along to have while she ate unhealthy food. Apparently life is for living so you should eat what you like...erm you won't be living very long if that grease you want me to eat with you cloggs up your arteries love!

So I should support her when she's on a diet but she can't do the same for me because SHE isn't in diet mode?

I've decided to do my thing no matter what...I'm not stopping anyone from doing as they please so why should should they stop me from working towards a healthier lifestyle?

You're right Aisha, stick to your guns, there are plenty of people who are willing to support you :) I'm sure your friend will come round once she sees how seriously you are taking it :)

Hey, you probably are thinner, low carbs means you are losing all the water weight that you store when you eat high amounts of carbs, in my first week I noticed how my belly had gone down and my jeans weren't as tight..it's a great feeling :). It's hard when medical problems get in the way of dieting, I loved just having shakes but my body couldn't cope...I felt like a failure, I realise now that everyone is different, and this time I feel just as great and no hair issues of TOTM issues so far woop woop.

im off to a wedding today so dreading the food side, but staying positive, if I can keep the carbs in check and eat the healthiest things available it won't be too devastating. Lost 10 lbs now so far (official weigh in on Tuesday morning), I know I lost a lot more a lot quicker last time, but I'm going to have to take it for what it is, a loss is a loss and I'm smiling again...that hasn't happened in a while because I feel in control of my own destiny.....I will be thin at 30, no doubt :)

Yes I'm very lucky that my family are being supportive of my decision to follow Exante. The only thing that I've compromised on is doing a working solutions day a week so that we can enjoy our family dinner together and still hopefully be in ketosis.

I don't know what my friends problem is tbh...I'd understand her point if I'd flatly refused to leave the house because of my diet or if I'd asked her not to eat certain food in front of me but I honestly didn't comment on what she was going up eat all I said was that I'd be enjoying my bar with my coffee when we meet for breakfast :-/ I don't know us women can be funny at times lol

Hope you're having a fab weekend xx

Hey Lani

Yes my thyroid really got me down when I first got diagnosed but I've learnt to accept it over the years. It's best to listen to your body and adjust the diet a little rather than put your health at risk. Well done for doing just that and I'm sure that you'll be healthier and much happier with your weight/size wayyy before you're 30th :)

Well my belly bloat has definitely gone down so something is happening :D We'll just have to see what the scales say on Tuesday :p

Hope you're having a fab time at the wedding hun xx

Evening people

Ok so today has been a little difficult :-/ I've been feeling so cold today because A) it IS cold :(
B) the builders keep opening the door to go in and out of the house
AND
C) I think that I'm in ketosis :D

I've been smelling lovely food because I live in a Pakistani house hold and we like to cook curry so our kitchen is extra fragrant at the weekends with delicacies being cooked for any visitors...PLUS my cousin made us a lemon drizzle cake

I've not been hungry and I've had a 100% day again but I wouldn't have minded a warm meal pack today so I'm really looking forward to my meal packs arriving on Tuesday :)

I just had my dinner now and it's warmed me up and satisfied my dessert craving. Think I'll leave it for the days that I'm craving dessert after a meal on a working solution day.

Thank you for the encouragement hun..it really means a lot xx
