Aldi slow cooker

    There have been a number of postings here about slow cookers.

    Just had my regular email from Aldi - from Sunday they are selling a large (no measurements given) slow cooker for £19.99.

    it looks good! You can get them cheaper though. Go to Asda or Tesco.

    I bought my slow cooker from Aldi last time they had them in and it is fantastic and it is HUGE, there are 5 of us and think my cooker would easily accomadate a meal for 8 good eaters or 10 if you were having smaller portions as part of a 3 course meal. Money well spent babes, go for it.

    I bought one of these a while back from pound stretcher and they are brilliant. The chips are soooo crispy, everyone should have one of these. I noticed on the packaging of mine it was a draggons den invention thing.

    I am thinking about getting a slow cooker-am i right in thinking you can cook allsorts in them-stews,curries, chiili etc what about things like bolognaise sauce ?

    And cos i know my hubby will ask-what are they like on your elec bills?

    MommyB, yes you can even make bolognese with it! As far as I know they are very good in terms of energy consumption, at least loads less that if you were to have a cooker on for a few hours!
