Alli takes the scenic route to maintenance

We are all off to halloween party tomorrow too. Most joyous that halloween falls on a saturday and for once, im not working it!!
Just what to go as now.......................?

Morning fellow maintainers!

Sorry about the absence - I haven't sat down since Saturday and I've been having Mini withdrawals!! I'm working from home today so will hopefully be able to catch up on what you've all been up to!

Oh and thanks for checking up on me - it's lovely the way everyone looks out for one another!

Halloween was OK although DS ate a particularly chewy sweet and broke a tooth (luckily a milk one). Some of our friends had gone all out wih the dressing up and we had done loads of halloween food LOL. All good fun!

Foodwise things are still going well. I'm still struggling in the evening and am trying to sort that. I decided yesterday to reduce my sugar intake as it's normally sugary foods that triggers my binges so had a sugar free day yesterday until about 9pm when I had a couple of choc digestives :doh: Oh well it could have been worse!

On a good point the EA sports active (Wii game) is brilliant! I have been working out nearly every day since I got it and have burned 1000 calories through exercise alone YAY :D. It's hard enough to make my muscles work but still fun - I really hope I stick to it as I'm sure it will give good results!

Right - got to sort the monkeys out before school time! I'll be back later to catch up to all the goings on:)

Minis is a fabulous support system isn't it? Hope tonight goes better for you. Are you following any plans etc at the moment?

Hi Laura - I'm losely using Weight Loss Resources to track my calories, but since I've used WLR on and off for at least 5 years I'm a bit bored with it. I've also started to reduce the amount of sugar I eat to try and reduce the cravings. I haven't done too well so far, but will keep trying.

I've had a fab lunch - Roast veggies with halloumi cheese! YUM!

Now sipping coffee whilst working - the weather is pants!

I've never got the grasp of haloumi.

You should try Perfect Diet Tracker (copyright KD). It's cheaper than WLR and offers pretty much the same thing now, in fact there's a lot more in the database.

I tried to use it but the trial expired after just a few hours so only had about 10 minutes look at it. I won't pay for it without a proper trial and the vendor never got in touch with me after their initial confirmation that they had received my problem report. I've chased a couple of times but have now given up. I might try and sign up for another trial but I doubt it will let me...
 
Had an impromptu pizza night last night with a friend so calories out of the window completely - and had some chocolate afterwards so limiting sugar isn't going very well either LOL.

I'm not weighing myself this morning as I just don't need to see the damage - I can feel it already. Still it was lovely and I will simply be extra careful today.

Today I'm eating:

B: Dorset muesli - milk
L: Prawn / Avocado salad
D: Bolognese
S: Fruit, CD bar or shake after aquafit tonight

Oh, envious of the aquafit... still keep trying to find time for swimming but pool is a 50 minute drive away... have a fab day Alli.

LOL he is fine. They managed to repair the tooth with some of the white filling. All chewy sweets are banned until they're 18 now!

No aquafit for me tonight. I'm coming down with a cold and am more tired than I've been in a long time. Am going to bed as soon as I can get the little monsters to sleep.

Need to go and sort out dinner - hope you are all OK!
 
Poor Alli... early night and snuggle up, hope the germs go away and find someone else to annoy, and you feel lots better in the morning.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. As Katy says, hope the germs go away. I've been feeling very very tired last few days - even slept on the sofa today for a good 2 hrs - something I never do - definitely something going round at the moment.

Hope you manage to have a nice warm hearty dinner, and get off to sleep early and feel much better in the morning xx

I ate some toffee the girls had made about 6 months ago, lovely stuff. As I was chomping away I thought it was odd, they hadn't made toffee with nuts in, and yes, it was a filling. Coward that I am I left it until the next routine dentist's visit - it didn't hurt you see....All fixed now and I'm £ 250 lighter. Blooming expensive toffee!!
 
Hi diary & friends!

I'm feeling much better today so that's good. It's been a busy day at work and food was grabbed and eaten between meetings. Because of that I've done quite well today and have only eaten around 1100 cals. I'm going clubbing tomorrow night :)eek::eek:) and am going for a meal before so will eat loads tomorrow so am grateful for a frugal day today :).

I've just bought diet tracker. I installed it on a memory stick so that I can run it from any computer. I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to access the internet database at work, but at least I should have the basics. Will try it tomorrow and see. It's good - not really any better than WLR but cheaper so will be good in the long term.

Right - time to go and make the packed lunches and then to bed! Night night all!:4635:

Oh and I've just received 2 cook books from Amazon! I am such a food porn addict! I got Rachel Allen's "Bake" and Nigella's Christmas. I'm so happy!!:rolleyes:
