Theyre an over the counter form of Xenical which works by stopping your body absorbing some of the fat in food. They seem to be being marketed as some kind of great wonder pill which will give you great weight losses. What they tend to do is make sure you keep to a healthy diet as the main side effect of them is they act like a laxative if you eat too much fatty food.

oh now I know they were going like hot cakes, the advert in the window says they can give you up 50% more loss, if you loss 2lbs by taking the Alli you can loss 3lbs.

but the side effects ooohhhh nasty (thats all i'm gonna say)

Having done Xenical for a while several years ago under advice from my doctor I can honestly say that it is no miracle and even on a low fat diet it made me ill with stomach cramps, wind and various other "things". I do know people who have lost on it without any side effects, as well as those who lost nothing due to lack of willpower and the overwhelming urge not to take a tablet after having a full pepperoni pizza :)

It still requires willpower unfortunately, sigh! :(
