Total Solution Angel72's Big Bulge Battle

Hi, sorry for absence. I just haven't managed to get time to post. Thanks so much for your posts, it's nice to know you're there! Pain is still an issue but I'm at the spinal unit tomorrow so fingers crossed my consultant will have some pearls of wisdom.

Laptop hunt was stressful. It turns out my current one is so old that the software they use to transfer data to a new one doesn't even recognise it. Harrumph. I'm terrified I will lose all my photos and videos so I'm staying in the dark ages for the moment.

Good news is that is did a sneaky WI this morning and I'm 21st5!!!! Less than 300lbs and goal achieved. I'm so happy :party0011: official WI is Friday though.

Hope le all of you are doing well. Onwards and downwards! Will catch up with diaries now.

Thanks Kylie. As long as new meds don't have the side affect of putting on weight like these! Hope you're having a great day. Off to check diary now.

Glad to hear that you are okay, good luck with the specialist tomorrow - hopefully you come away with something positive that makes it more bearable for you.

That sucks in regards to your laptop. Maybe could consider storing them somewhere online? And then re-downloading them when you get a new laptop? Or put them on disc etc?

Really well done on getting below 300lbs! You are doing very well! Can't wait to see you post reaching below 20st! Not far to go! You are so positive and inspiring with your perseverance.

Hope you are getting a chance to relax a little now though :)

Thanks Sheridan. Yes I bought a hard drive yesterday at a sale In currys. When I get time I will have a go at storing them myself. I'm having a luxurious hour on my own and here I am catching up with you all. If I can stretch it far enough I'm Going to watch Downton Abbey. I love that series.

I would like like time to paint my nails. They are so long and strong at the moment which never happens. I think it must be the vitamins in the packs.

I might try a sausage one tonight. Any tips In Cooking it?

Well done with your loss. Hope you get good news tomorrow. x

Well done on your loss, it's lovely hitting targets. I make the sausage into burger patties and cook them in a pan with fry light. Sorry to hear about your laptop, my husband is technical and I think you can get all your stuff off yourself and then transfer it to a new one that way, it's a pain but it should work.

Thanks for the tip on the sausages and computer Poppy. Will give both a whirl. It's been a tough day to stay 100%. I had an egg with my sausage pack for dinner. I think the problem was I dashed out this morning so didn't have anything until lunchtime. Being out all afternoon meant I just didn't drink enough. By this evening I was genuinely hungry.
I won't make the same mistake tomorrow. I don't think an egg will make a lot of difference but it did make me feel more satisfied. Soooo tired now. Off to bed. Have a great day tomorrow. X

I usually have good nails but when I am on Exante they grow very fast as does my hair. Hairdresser says fast growing nails and hair are a sign of good health. So not only are we getting slimmer but healthier into the bargain. Win win. x

Good morning. After a very rushed porridge and half a cup of coffee, a dash up the motorway and a nightmare parking the car I'm here. Now for the long queue for the consultant. Fortunately in this part of the hospital we are actually allowed to use mobiles.

Hoping for a 100% day. Have a good one!

Hope everything goes well for you today. Thinking of you. Good luck. x

Well done on another loss Angel :D

Hope you get some resolution today & you get to see the consultant quickly.

AS for nails, mine don't stand a chance as they are being covered in alcohol gel throughout the day. Makes them very brittle & the need for a lot of skill when putting on my tights lol x

Thanks Mere and susie. Consultant was nice and a thorough chap. All I can say is OW. Sending me for a scan which can take up to nine weeks. Got home and spent most of the afternoon trying to get pain control. Hubby was fabulous and looked after Bubs. It's been hard to stay on track but I have. Porridge, bar and hot shake to come.

Hope you guys are ok. What on earth do you do Susie to use alcohol gel so much? Medical? Eek that stuff can make hands soooo sore

Funny enough I'm a Trauma & Orthopeadic nurse hence the alcohol gel. ( & that's also why I have a 3 displaced discs in my back lol).
That's a long while to have to wait for a scan. Hope it comes through quicker, you never know.

You've done wonderfully well to stay on track after such a difficult day Angel. x

I feel for you Susie, nurses backs always suffer. Every female in my family back to my grandmother, including my cousins, sister and mum were all nurses. I became an engineer... Go figure....

I'm a cauda equina para after an accident 8 years ago. He thinks the pain is from further damage I've done after he did the needle tests. There's a huge backlog for scans, if I don't get one within a month then I have to call.

I'm loving this diet. Taking food out of the equation really simplifies everything and helps me step back and take a good look at habits. I also love the fact that the "what's for dinner" question is a simple one. I'm loving cooking for others though weirdly. Time for hot shake.

I'm a nurse too, and also have bad back to, prove it!! Moved into clinical research five years ago, so not so much of a problem now as most patients I see don't have moving and handling needs,

Well done on your progress angel x

Sorry to hear about the accident Angel, some tough circumstances to deal with. :( .

Take it nursing wasn't your sort of thing. Engineering sounds quite interesting. My son works as an engineer for Network rail. Always worry about him when he is dealing with some of the high voltage stuff.

This diet is strange as it seems to make you want to cook healthier meals for others even though we can't eat any ourselves. I'm sure the lack of eating actually makes you appreciate good healthy food. x

My cravings are actually for healthier food the longer I'm on it. That's a strange thing to say from a previous take away and chocolate junkie. Oh and icecream. Because you know you're not physically hungry it makes me look more at the triggers making me want something. The stomach shrinks over time too which is also a bonus.

Today was a tough day so I wanted to have time on my own and comfort eat. Vicious spiral would begin and I would be more miserable. So I stayed to plan and feel more in control at least. I know that I'm Burning fat and there is an abundance of that which isn't going to run out anytime soon :).

The outlaws are coming again tomorrow so at least I will have an extra pair of hands on deck.

Time for bed and sweet dreams of slinkiness. Night night.

Chilly autumn day started with hot porridge yum! Took baby and dog out for an hour to the market. I wanted to get some picture frames. The lift in the bank didn't work and the frame stall only had two of the ones I liked and I needed three. Ah well, there's always next week. I was pretty frozen when we got home. Little one was toasty and has gone down for a nap.

I had a very rude delivery man ring me to say he couldn't find us and Why couldn't we gave a numbered house like a normal person. Good grief. The name is on the gate and the postcode brings you straight to us. He must have been having a rotten day.

Peppermint tea and double choc bar for lunch in peace, perfect! I hope today is a good one for you too.
