Anybody put a bet on the Grand National?

I've got a £1 to win on Shakalakaboomboom at 16-1, and 50p each way on Mon Mome at odds of 33-1. Fingers crossed!

Anybody else had a flutter on the gee-gees?

Our whole family has got a bet on to win and one each way...between us all we've got over 1/3 of the horses, lol! No big wins though with the amounts we've put on!

Thats is the reason why they would not be getting any money from us. I know it wont make 1 bit of difference but we think its cruel and unnecessary

No, and I never will. Horrible barbaric race. If a jump is so dangerous it is going to break an animals leg and result in its destruction then it should be fixed so it isn't. Its not rocket science.

They definitely need to reassess the height of the fences...I think they've already lowered them once, but considering two horses had to be destroyed then it obviously wasn't enough. I also think there's too many horses running in the Grand National...if they cut it by half then maybe fewer of them would get knocked over by stray horses
