Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Woo Hoo well done Kim!!

Thanks chick, well chuffed! I can see a light at the end of the tunnel now!

I've just had a look back thru this weeks diary & counted up I only had 49 syns over 6 days, which left me 56 for the 'off' plan day I had last Friday which was obviously enough for the 6 wines, cheese burger & onion rings I consumed!!!! I dont condone what I did, but it just goes to show it can work sometimes, but not all the time!
DH has been muttering the last 2 nights he's been wanting a bottle of Red & last night actually had his hand in the wine rack! He's had a b***h of a week at work & is working today, so I said why not wait til tonight as he's off for the next 3 days. So it looks as if we are going to have our Friday night ritual again! I do wander tho if we didnt, would I have bigger losses? But there again what's more important.....spending time with my best mate (which he is) or my target date just taking that bit longer......I take the first option! x

Thanks for the advice hun :) the program varies between short and long runs with intervals in some sessions too - looking forward to building up to 10k! X

That sounds perfect xx

Amazing kim! Huge well done :) enjoy that wine tonight. I do the same I used to feel guilty about going off plan but now I see it that it's spending good time with good friends and infact that helps me stick to plan the rest of the time, might mean a leisurely route to target but it's one where I am happy rather than consumed by guilt about food which I now see is a very unhealthy attitude to have towards it! This is a recent revelation and feel so much better for it :) x

Woo hoo Kim! You go girl :) you definitely need a new outfit now x

Thanks Emma :). Bit soon yet to get one, as my body mass!!!! changes quite a lot when I lose a stone, so I will need to wait til Im nearly at target. I normally average at a pound a week, so another 13 weeks yet! The last 2 weeks must be flukes as I never normally lose that much, so Im thinking its the wine & burger I have on a Friday night thats helping.....or is it the cycling lol! :D x

I agree hun, you need have these times when you can go out enjoy yourself and still know that our losing, yes it may be a little slower but its still going down and you will get there even with your treat night :) I think i'll try having a treat night but WILL cut my syns down the rest of the week rather than still munching 15 a day.

My words exactly! I dont think its the 'off' plan day/night that is the problem, its the next day when you can think, oh sod it lets have another naughty day! I am quite disciplined like that, where I wont do that, I just get straight back to it. A few months back when I was still on morphine & had a drink, I would always without fail, vomit the next day! I think thats what got me off drinking, not that I drank a lot, but it least its got me out of the habit. So, in a way having these 2 neck surgeries have been a blessing in disguise! If I was stressed I would always turn to the wine, never food, & these last 2 years have been pretty stressful, but being on the morphine & wine certainly did not mix, so gave it up!!! Not on it now so......... :party0036:

I try not to call it a 'treat' night as I dont see it as a reward for losing, it just so happens I WI on a Friday & thats normally when DH gets home from his working away all week. Even tho we chat on the phone 2-3 times a day, we've always got something to chitter about when he comes home. But I read on the other threads that a lot of people do have 'treat' nights after WI & there are varying responses to it!!! I do wander if it does your body good to have a calorific boost every now & then.....not an excuse at all, but just a theory. Mmmmm, might have to go & google that theory!
We gotta live tho Nikki & we're all social creatures & Im sure it must be difficult for you younger girls that like to go out drinking a lot more than someone of my tender years. I used to be a right party animal, but Im a 'lightweight' now & Im the one snoring in the corner now! We tend to have more BBQ's/meals with friends at home now, rather than going out. Plus its sooooo expensive & I resent paying £8 for 2 rounds of drinks, when I could buy 2 bottles of wine for that! x

Sorry girls, I seem to be taking over here a bit, chatting too much.....obviously got too much time on my hands! x

I totally agree Kim. We used to spend far to much money going out and so recently we have been taking up the groupon offers or exchanging our club card vouchers. We have this little shop 2 doors up from our house run by "winston" and he used to sell this delicious bottle of white wine fir £3.50... I think we bought it too often because the other day we went to get some and he had upped the price to £3.99 cheeky little monkey!! I definitely know that me having "treat nights" slows my weight loss loads but mainly when done with alcohol, but I dont mind that because I get to spend time with my family and friends :)

Really fancy a nice juicy burger now though haha x

I cant believe how much wine has gone up! My favourite white wine is Nobilo, a NZ Sauvignon Blanc & its delicious. However, I will only ever buy it when its on offer at £5 as its normally about £8-£9 & I flatly refuse to pay that much. I normally wait for the offers of 3 for £12, which used to be 3 for £10, but inflation pfft!!! What is the wine he sells so cheap & yes he is a cheeky monkey!
And your right, 'treat' nights' with family & friends are a lot more important & should be cherished.
If we go out we'd usually go to Prezzo's or the local Indian for a meal (we live in a small town, so quite limited with our restaurants!), but its so expensive now, so we just stop at the local 'burger/kebab/pizza' takeaway place & have a burger & they are gorgeous! Not sure what they would taste like sober tho lol! x

Charlie, how are you feeling about tomorrow, as you will probably hit target if not below?! Do you think you'll do it as its only 0.75lbs Sooooo exciting & you'll be able to put a target sticker by your name & avatar x
