Oh, guess what! Got an Oasis size 8 dress on today! Still a bit tight around the hips, but got 4 months to make it comfy :)

Ace :) it's such a great feeling isn't it?!

I plod on slowly with my losses, but today I measured myself & I've lost 29cms from all over in 2 months! Throw the scales away girls, they are the work of the devil lol!!!

Wow, that's some amazing inch loss! I agree though, even though the scales might show a gain or a sts, my trusty tape measure usually shows inch loss!

Am back to my 8.12.5 weigh in as per Saturday - I put the temporary gain down to eating too much when I wasn't hungry (even though I stuck to my syns) and my muscles getting used to my running and weight regime. Hoping to see a loss on Saturday now :)

Yea well done Charlie! Just noticed you've dropped your target, go careful as your BMI is getting quite low, but know where you're coming from. I look slim at 8st 7lbs & Im a lot shorter than you! *Please take as friendly advice* :) x

Thanks Kim, have set it at that for the time being but I'm aware that it's probably a bit low. I really just want to set a healthy range which keeps me at and around 8.10. I doubt I'd be able to get to 8.7 and maintain it, so thanks for the advice :) xx

You're welcome Charlie, just didnt want to sound 'naggy'! I think your body will tell you when its reached its healthy lowest as you wont lose anymore. From reading the maintainers posts, it sounds as tho its just as hard to maintain until you find out what the body needs/wants to stay at your desired weight.
You've done incredibly well & should be proud of yourself :) x

Nope don't worry, I totally understand what you're saying and am grateful for your feedback! I think most of the work for me now is toning up and moisturising like mad to tone up the loose skin (did you find this? I've got a fair bit especially around my bust!).

I'm not looking forward to maintaining, I've only very known losing for the last year and a half - will be rather strange to not see a difference each week on the scales. Though am excited to be able to let loose a little :) I think I need to change my mindset from 'just a little bit more to lose' to 'actually, I've lost enough - there isn't really anything left to lose'!!

Not wanting to sound big headed, but I am very proud of myself for sticking to it and losing more than I ever dreamed I would lose. I am a massive advocate for slimming world and love hearing from people like you guys who are all in the same boat :)

As for running - how far and frequently did you run? At the minute I'm doing 5km a session which takes around 30 mins but am considering doing less of a distance but more often. Though I've read that the most efficient calorie burning occurs after 20 mins - its so confusing getting he balance just right.

Now I'm off to tuck into my chicken tikka salad - as I am definitely hungry :p xx

Im currently 9st 3 and half and would love to get down to 8st :) i was 8st 7 at one point so im dtermined done it before can do it again! however my friends and family keep saying that il be too thin at this height but im only 5ft1 so im in the "normal" weight range. does anyone get the same it frustrates me! lol x

If your bmi would still be in the healthy range, and you're losing weight without having to starve yourself or exercise obsessively then I don't see a problem. You could always just see how you are going at the time and stop when you feel ready rather than forcing yourself to be 8st. It's about balancing healthy and being comfortable with yourself. X

Yeah il still be healthy BMI and i am eating loads :) they are just concerned how i would actually look but if i get down to 8st and think i look too thin i can always put some on that how i see it :) xx

Also, on the other hand you could just stop on the way down if you think you've lost enough!

Hi Charlie. Yes I did have lose skin....yuck ....around my tummy & boobs went south a bit!, however I think I've found a miracle cure....BioOil! I started using it on my neck post op for my scar about 3 months ago & my neck/chest area seems wrinkle free! So I'm going 2 use it when my tummy starts 2 get a bit wrinkle again! You shouldn't have 2 many problems as Ur younger than me!
I'm sure you will know when enough is enough & enjoy maintaining.
Ref the running I would run anywhere from 5 - 13.1 (half marathon) miles probably 4/5 times a week, it was dependant if I was training for anything.....it can get addictive & you can then eat more! Just do what you can then& enjoy!

I'm the same height as you & was 8.7 last year. I felt good at that weight but must admit wanted to be a bit lower. Just see how you feel & look at 8.7 & take it from there.

Thanks for the advice you guys x

29 inches is an insane amount Kim, well done!!! I can't imagine ever being 8st 7!!! I'd be so proud to even get to 8st 13.5 :)

Bought a running app for my BB today. Didn't get on with C25K, so i'll see how this goes. It will tell me calories burnt, which I think will spur me on. I've set it up for fb and twitter, so fingers crossed I like it :) I'm almost certain that I won't want to run tonight, but I'm intending to!

Can't wait to draw a line under this week - WI tomorrow x

Not 29inches, 29cms !!! That would be some going!
Get those trainers on, you'll feel fantastic when you've been for a run & full of beans! Let us know how you get on with the running app. Is it your birthday today? If so many happy returns x

Ohhh, sorry! Measurement fail! I measure in inches so I read it as inches, my bad! That's still amazing though - my measurements don't seem to be changing a great deal.

I mustn't sit down when I get home or else I won't go! Haha..

BB = Blackberry, but its almost my half-birthday - does that mean I get cake?! ;)

Either way that inch loss is fab :)

I use the Nike+ app for running in my iPhone as I like that it reminds me at milestones and keeps a record online. I can also set targets and challenges. Let me know how you get on with your app.

Wow Kim, my runs are nothing compared to yours - I run 5km at least 3 times a week but am trying to do it at least 5 times. In a way it has helped knowing that you ran that far as I was worried I was over doing it and would injure my knees but I think I'm doing alright! :) Had a terrible run today though - lost motivation and kept walking, I think it had a lot to do with forgetting my water bottle!

Anyone watching supersize vs super skinny tonight? It's a guilty pleasure of mine, I usually watch it whilst chomping on a treat size choc, haha!

I tried to find Nike+ as I'd seen that you use it, but I don't think its available for my phone. I'm very new to running, so I hope I don't lose motivation!!

I'll probably be eating and going straight to bed, I don't really have time for TV. Out the door at 6am and don't get in til 8pm, its horrible!

I'm relatively new to running, been doing it on and off for around a year I think. Another app that is good is 'endomondo', my OH has that on his BB and I have a version on my iPhone. That also lets you track other sports too :) I found that if I stick to a regime, running becomes addictive as its a great feeling when you come back from a run! If you're wanting some inspiration - the women's health uk website has a great walking to running guide. Good luck!

Thanks! Is that the same website as the one you recommended for the leg toning exercises? x
