Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

I think it definitely is the running - I've been bitten by the bug! Getting OH to fix the bikes this weekend as the weather seems to be picking up, nothing better than a bike ride to the pub :p

Haha! That made me chuckle....a bike ride to the pub! Make sure its a long one tho! When it gets a bit warmer, we're going to make a picnic & cycle off somewhere & have some lovely food (SW of course) overlooking the sea! We're very lucky living in Dorset as the sea is not far from us........downhill to get there, but obviously uphill back :).
In fact, we're just going to potter in the garden for a bit.....very good body magic as its 160 feet long!......& then drive to the coast to take our retriever called Charlie :) for a swim :chores016::

What a beautiful day for a run! Just done a mile and I struggled with tummy ache most of the way through! Not sure if I'm not breathing right or something :S it felt like a stitch, but was lower down my abdomen rather than at my waist. Any ideas what it could be?

Off to nandos tonight and have it all planned out. I'm quite lucky really that I've only ever been to nandos when I have been doing SW, so I don't know what I'm missing! Haha, will definitely be sampling the low fat frozen yoghurt though, just to make sure it still tastes ok ;)

Well done on your loss, Charlie! Amazing, hope I get the same results!

Snowwhite, I had some re-evaluating to do this week! Hope it all goes to plan :) if you know where the 2lbs have come from then you should be ok x

Did you eat before you went out for your run? I tended to not eat pre run or if I did quite a few hours before. Im no expert, but Im sure it wont be your breathing, as I think you naturally breathe to go with your running style....were you running /sprinting too fast as that may cause a cramp......well done tho.
Enjoy your Nando's meal :)

You are definitely very lucky to live in what sounds like such a beautiful place! Hope you have a great day! Im off to take my chocolate lab Penny for a walk this afternoon too :)

And Annie, I agree with Kim that it doesn't sound like your breathing. Make sure you warn up properly, and haven't eaten too close to your run. However, I find that running when I'm getting hungry sometimes gives me cramp too! X

I used to take Charlie running with me, but can you believe she is a lazy Retriever! She used to hold me back by just sitting down & refusing to move when she was on the lead! If I wanted to go for a long run, I would take our friends Retriever Jake with me who was like a horse & he had his uses by pulling me up the hills......we have loads in Dorset! I loved that dog & wish we could have bred off them both.....trouble is I wouldnt have been able to get rid of any of the puppies! I love cats & dogs & would have a house full, but not allowed!!! We have to be sensible & not get any more furry babies as we have plans to travel round Europe when hubby comes out of the Marines....cant wait!

Thanks for the advice :) I hadn't eaten since last night, but I might not have warmed up enough. I'd expect to get cramp in my legs rather than my tummy though? I was fine the first time, so I'll try more of a warm up :)

We're about 40 minutes drive from the beach, but its a stony one! I went running along a sandy beach with my dog once - Jesus, I had no idea how much it would work me!!

Yep, always warm up before hand & you MUST stretch afterwards! Running on sand is an amazing workout, but very unpleasant....too much like hard work for my liking!

Ooooooh, I haven't been stretching afterwards - perhaps I should!

I'm guilty of that too, you definitely feel it the next day if you don't!

Oh Charlie, just re-reading what you guys said - running when getting hungry, it could have been that as I hadn't eaten for 12 hours..

It could be! X

Hey ladies... Really want to join you but I'm 10.1 at the moment. Wi on thurs so you never know.... Impressed with all your running! I've done a couple of marathons but don't do so much lately. Think exercise is really important though xxx

Welcome and good luck! I'm new to running, but Charlie and Kim are experts! Hehe x

I've only been running properly for a couple of months :p

Just back from a lovely walk at Lulworth Cove, have a very wet dog now! Hubby had a cream tea tuttut! & I had a coffee good girl! Home now & just in from sitting outside on the patio with a nice chilled glass of Nobilo, my favourite white wine......200mls = 6.5 Syns!

Sounds like a fantastic day :) Well done on resisting the cream tea!

I'm just getting ready for a night out with my friend. Am a bit worried as I'm adamant that I'll have 1/2 bottle rosé before we go (12.5 syns, and it will definitely be more than enough alcohol for me!) and then stick to diet coke and water when we're out. I don't want to go over my syns (even if I have been under 15 all week), I don't want to waste tomorrow with a hangover and I don't want to spend lots of money. I just feel like I'm letting my friend down - but surely it's my choice whether I drink or not?! Xx

I know exactly how u feel! I hate that pressure but as you say it's your choice. I think stick to your rose if that's what you want to do. Your friend probably won't care once you're out xxx
