Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Hi Kim - oh yes, it was too low! I found it hard to find clothes that actually fitted me!
I'm in Southampton - where about in Dorset are you? Fabulous county - you're very lucky to live there! x

How funny, from the age of 12 I was brought up there & went to Redbridge school. My mum & family were all born there & Mum still lives!
I live in Blandford Forum. Yes, we're very lucky where we live, absolutely love it x

I might try a bit of both - add an extra B when I'm on EE days and have 15-20 syns on red days as I'm not keen on the idea of 3 B's! I'm going to keep up the daily runs though - I feel great and it's really helped me to tone up :)

Small world! My hubby plays badminton at Redbridge school! We live in Bitterne, the other side of the water!
Blandford Forum, how wonderful! Such beautiful countryside. We often go to Swanage, one of my favourite places. The children used to think that it was actually an island! x

Haha, very small world! I can see why your children think Swanage might be an island, coz if you go over on the Sandbanks ferry, Studland beach can look like an island......there's a nuddy beach there as well!!!
DH & I are going to cycle to Swanage & back when he's on leave, so about a 60 mile round trip....will burn a few calories doing that! x

Sounds like a good plan. Will you be having a celebration meal when you get to target, next week Im sure? I bet your OH cant believe how good you look? Did you know each other when you were nearly 5 stone!!!!!!!!!!! heavier? x

Yes, we always go on the Sandbanks ferry - I love the view of Studland, the beach and water is so clean. Yes, knew about the nuddy beach, we avoid it at all costs!
That sounds like a great cycle ride - definitely good for burning lots of calories!!! I love cycling, but don't do it as much as I'd like.
We're starting to look forward to the children being independant and then we're looking forward to taking our bikes into the forest and exploring! x

Omg I am sat in the piercing place now, they couldn't fit me in last night. My stomach is going mental! Dunno what's up with me i've had it done before!

We've been together since I was 14, almost 8 years! Though I've never been this slim :)

Ooh, might visit the Indian if I hit target next Saturday! X

Wow so much to read back on,you girls talk alot!! lol :)

Great losses this week, I feel so inspired and motivated by them, well done girls!!

I'm interested about red days BUT im a vegetarian so is it even possible??! What do you have in place of bread pasta rice and potatoes?? I think I would really struggle but if it would get me to target in the next few weeks I'd be highly tempted to try it.

Charlie- I run too,3 times a week, have recently completed the c25k thing and have just dowloaded the bridge to 10k app on my ipod. How are you finding it running every day, do your muscles cope well without the reccomended rest days then? I ask because I'd like to run more often but scared to over use my muscles and joints. How far do you run? Haha 50 questions! xxx

I remember reading before about vegetarians trying extra easy to speed up there losses as then you are only having 2 HEs instead of 4 and also making sure 1/3 of each meal is super free. I really don't see the advantage of doing red days as a vegetarian seems unnecessarily restrictive, you would just have to syn or use HEs for all your carbs that would otherwise be free so basically would just be eating loads of veg and fruit and not much else surely? I am also vegetarian. X

With regards to the red days - I still have bread and potatoes, but have them as a healthy extra so they have to be weighed out. Perhaps take a look at my food diary linked in my signature for an idea of what I have on red days?

And running wise - I always have at least 1 rest day a week, and I only run for 30 mins (about 5km) in the morning, on a treadmill, so impact on my joints is minimal. Have you got decent running shoes? I've also got some special insoles from JJB (but you can get them from sports direct, decathlon etc) that absorb impact & shock and they are a godsend! As long as I stretch my legs out after a run I rarely have any problems! Hope that helped? x

Wow Charlie and nikki, amazing losses! Very inspiring. Hope everyone is having a fab Saturday.

I'm feeling shattered but need to drag myself for a run. Weekend is a bit off plan as my parents are down but trying to be good as much as I can.... Xx

I know. I thought she was coming into me till she mentioned her kids!
I'm starving so I ate some melon and my OH told me off. Apparently not supposed to eat anything solid for a bit. But i'm hungry! And my tongue hasn't even swelled up. If it still hasn't swollen up tomorrow I can go on Tuesday for a smaller bar putting it.
I really want to get into running but I don't have the motivation on a morning! Might just stick to zumba for now!

Yeah thanks Charlie I'll take a look at your diary. So its not really cutting out carbs, just controlling them, I like the idea of that better lol don't think I could totally give them up!
I do have running trainers and I've just ordered some running socks to help with cushioning the impact. I do my runs on a treadmill too apart from once this week when my teenage daughter wanted to give it a go so we went round riverbank together. Did you notice your losses slow down or stop when you first started running? I did, my 1st week I gained 0.5lb then the week after sts then week after lost 2lb and since then I find the running hand in hand with food optimising 100% is really helping to ashift the weight. XX

Yeah it's just about controlling carbs, I couldn't live without them either!

Yep, at first I gained a little but there are handfuls of articles about weight gain and new exercise programmes so not surprising! But now I've been doing it a while it's boosted my losses without a doubt :) xx
