Vicky shared her recipe :

Chicken strips
1 tub Passata
1tsp chilli powder, 1tsp paprika (if you like them spicy add more of spices)
1 glove garlic
I put in sliced onions and peppers
All in the slow cooker, last half hour add 60g cheese
Warm corn tortillas add chicken mixture to wraps and put in dish do all 8 then spoon leftover sauce over top and sprinkle 60g cheese over top in oven for 15 mins

My hubby has 21/2 and me and the girls have 11/2 each so it's 9syns for wraps and a hexa
So yummy and my huuby says there tastier than the box ones you make up
We have them with sw chips and salad

Morning ladies! Hope you are all having a good weekend :)

Can't wait to get back to my own flat I hate living in other peoples houses it feels wierd! Bf has been off doing various things so I've been stuck in with the dogs, annoyingly they can't be left in alone as one has anxiety issues and destroys the place and the other is old and ill so needs regular medication and eye drops. Oh and we lost the cat oops it goes out most of the day but it hadn't been home since we got here on Friday morning, luckily it appeared again this morning as we were getting a bit worried that the worst had happened!

Well I'm going out a walk later when the oh gets home not staying in on a nice day like this. Means I can get some bits and pieces for food too as eating is pretty random while here I miss having cupboard, fridge and freezer full of all my sw goodies! X

I'm going to follow ww but I'm going to make lots of soups for my lunches and have lots of nice salads for tea instead of filling up on processed meals :) xxx

Hi all :)

Newbie here, secretly been lurking as a guest for a while now but decided to bite the bullet and introduce myself and join in!
I'm Melissa, i'm 23 and live with my fiance and 2 children, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I put on quite alot of weight in my first pregnancy and I never really lost it then got pregnant with my second, didn't put on as much second time round but went to a weight I didn't like!
Pre pregnancy I was around 8st 11lb (got to the comfy stage with boyfriend, prior to that I was about 8st 7lb), during pregnancy I went to around 11st 3lb :(, weighed in at around 10st 10lb after, managed to get to about 9st 13lb from dieting and breastfeeding, then during pregnancy with my 2nd I went to 10st 12lb...anyway cut a long story short, I now weigh in at 9st 7lb 2 years on, not too bad really, I have been yo yo dieting for the past year but nothing was really working, or I found it hard to stick at it.

I started Slimming World around 2 weeks ago now and have lost 3lb so far, abit gutted that I didn't get a big loss like others I have heard, but i'm putting it down to that I don't really have the much to loose anyway, I want to get down to 8st 7lb ish again so I have abit to play with as i'm quite happy at the 9st mark. I go on holiday in 2 weeks so my first target is to get down to 9st 3lb, more if I can.

I'm not going to meetings just yet, my mum has clued me up on how it all works so I have been doing it from home, so I could possibly be doing something wrong? I've been mainly doing green days as I find red days hard, heres a typical day if anyone can tell me if i'm on the right track?
Breakfast: 2 Weetabix with 150ml semi skimmed milk
Snack: Vanilla muller light yoghurt, fruit(blueberries, strawberries and a plum)
Dinner: Spicy sweet and sour mug shot, sugar free hartley jelly
Snack: Quavers
Tea: Bachelors mild cheese and broccoli pasta 'n' sauce (made with milk and water) with a bag of steam veg and 1 laughing cow extra light cheese triangle
OR Jacket potato with branston baked beans and salad

1 Coffee with milk and sweetner and a few cups of tea with a splash of milk and sweetner.

Am I on the right track, should I be eating more?? Once I get back from my holiday I plan to attend the meetings to loose my last bit of weight, just can't really afford it at the moment!

Melissa

Welcome

I agree with what the others have said, less processed food, more home cooking. And a mugshot would not keep me going! Dont be afraid to eat. We are programmed to think in order to lose weight we need to be starving all the time, when in fact we just need to be filling up on the right foods. If you dont want to use your syns on crisps/chocolate etc you can easily use them in meals. This works best for me as Im fine when i dont eat any of that sort of food, its once I eat a little bit i want more!

Theres nothing wrong with losing 3lbs in2 weeks - thats nearly half a stone a month, and the recommended healthy weight loss.

Have a look in the food diary and recipe sections if you are stuck for ideas.

Good luck

Thank u so much for all ur advice!! I went shopping yesterday for fresh meat and veg etc, not really had much in hence the packets, all we had in lol! Although I do find it difficult to cook with kids around etc do I'm gonna dig out my slow cooker and also make batches up to freeze.

Had abit of an oopsie last night and had dominos :( only had 3 slices and I had a new York (ham bacon and mushrooms) with low fat cheese instead of mozerella....doesn't justify it but hey ho, back on it today!
A red day for me today...
Breakfast: 2 slice of wholemeal bread, grilled bacon and fry lite fried egg, tbs tomato ketchup (calculated that at 1syn?)
Snack: Muller lite yog and strawberries
Lunch: ham mushroom peppers and onion omelette
Snack: freddo and quavers (9ish syns?)
Tea: sw spag Bol sauce with spaghetti

Does the spaghetti have to be wholemeal? And also do you need to syn the spaghetti on A red day??

Thanks in advance! Hope ur all having a lovely Sunday :) were off for a nice big long walk round the park once we have had dinner

Bulk cooking is a good idea, especially if you're busy. Ref you meal for today.......
Did you have 60g of WM bread which is a HexB? Yes the pasta has to be wholemeal & it has to be weighed to count as a HexB & its only 35g dry weight, so if you want more you will have to syn it. What are you having as your HexA's as you're allowed 2 & try not to estimate your syns, as they can creep up on you before you know it lol!
Hope you have a good day x

Is it whole meal pasta for red and green days or just red?

WOOP well done.
I have just finished workout 3. Really enjoyed it. Had to keeps stopping when my head got too bac but got right back into it. Gunna see how my head is but might try some zumba later too. Need to burn as many calories as possible so I can drink loads tonight lol

Its wholewheat for Red days as you need the fibre for your HexB, but its not essential on a Green day but is recommended for health x

Make sure you hydrate with non alcoholic fluids if you've done lots of exercise, or the booze will go straight to your head......or is that the idea lol! x
