Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Very excited for this weekend, cos hubby will finish decorating the living room/dining room......cant wait to start titivating in there and do all the girly pretty things. Then guess what.......more decorating......bedroom No 2 next ! I kept changing my mind on the colour scheme, but have decided on dusky plum on the feature wall on the fireplace......odd I know having a fireplace in a bedroom but its an old house and it was boarded up and we uncovered it and Ballet which is a pinky shade on the rest of the walls. Im going for quite a 'pretty' room as its normally my Mum that stays in there, so want it nice for her. We also have some old pine furniture in there that we're going to tart up to look a bit more modern......busy busy again poor hubby will be glad for a rest !

Also, we are spending as much time with our precious girl Charlie, cos she's deteriorating slowly and dont think she will be with us for too much longer. I know we will have to make that decision soon, but as long as she's not in pain, we will cherish her every single moment......such sad times :(. We try not to be too sad around her cos she picks up on every little emotion, but its so hard not to be sad.....just need to think of all the happy times we spent together and then we smile :)

Oh Kim that's heart breaking , I know how hard it is. We have a golden lab, she's 4yrs old and is my 4th child! As long as she isn't in pain ye can enjoy some precious time with her.
Take loads of pictures xx

As far as maintaining goes I suppose I do a lot of exercise and that must help. Between running, spinning & kettlebells I do 5/6 days exercise a week. Then I eat only veg & salad with dinner & lunch so I do mostly red days all the time. I don't like potatoes or pasta anymore!

Oh Kim, so sorry about Charlie :( (sending hugs) I miss every four legged friend we ever had.

Forgot to say that newest grandson, Alfie was actually 3 weeks early even though he was 8lb 13oz!!
Enough to make your eyes water!! :)

Think it`s gonna be a while before the flat looks like home. The first of our (my) ebay deliveries arrived yesterday. Three pairs of curtains needed for living room and one pair for bedroom. Having green tones throughout the flat, makes life easier.

The living room ones are various shades of green with swirly pattern ( very 70`s!) going back to my teenage years!!
The bedroom ones are green and cream striped blackout curtains. Got cushions and a mint green roller blind for the bathroom on order. So the "grand plan" is coming on nicely. Just about to go to Argos with the shopping trolly to get curtain poles. Should be fun! Last week there was a bomb scare in town which brought the place to a stansdtill. Will have to try not to take someones eyes out with the curtain poles!!

Just gotta think about what else we "need" !! :D

Wow that is big Annette, my little one was 7 lb 8 at 3 weeks early and I thought that was big. Bless, congratulations anyway :) its fab news.

Visiting the puppies on Wednesday, but won't decide which one we're having as they'll only be 1 week old, so will see them again when they're a little older, owner has said we can come visit as often as we want.

Sorry to hear about Charlie Kim, sounds like your doing the right thing though, just enjoy every minute with her. At least you know she's had a great life with you

Im with you on the green theme Annette. When we first moved into our house, we bought green curtains/accessories for the living room cos it was already painted green and now we've eventually got around to decorating it, we're still sticking with green cos the curtains are only a few years old and we love the colour as well, just obviously putting our own colour scheme on now. Its such a fresh colour as reminds me of lush green fields and the outdoors, so I think you've picked a great colour.

It will be a long 8 weeks waiting for your puppy Donna! Have you decided on names yet ?

Thanks for all your kind words ladies about Charlie x

Our living room is green and blue, we love it. When we were looking for sofa's for our last house we looked for black or brown ones, but fell in love with blue and green ones (well they're mainly blue but have the odd cushion which are cream with a green pattern) had another look at the house and the walls were a light green so went with them... they've moved with us to this house and we've bought with green curtains and a green feature wall... we think its a lovely colour for living room.

I know, we looked at stuff we'll need to buy but waiting until next month to buy anything. At least it means we can make sure we really are ready for them. We've talked about a few names but not properly decided yet, I liked Wispa for a girl (the girls are all chocolate brown) but boyfriends mum said she thought it was a cats name and boyfriend wasn't too keen... he prefers Katniss and thinks we should shorten it to Kat, but I don't like that, I think the Kat the dog joke would get old very quickly, we sort of liked Tyrion for a boy as well... but again other people have pulled it apart a bit, so still deciding.... have a couple of names in mind but nothing 100% and avoiding telling people (especially his mum as she has an opinion on them all) like I said to him though, we're not going to find a name everyone likes and besides his mum likes Miley for a dog or a baby and we hate that name (no offence to anyone who does like it or knows one, but it just shows we don't have the same taste)

Oh and I think we're aiming more towards a girl, I agree with you on the lipstick thing with boys and the mum is gorgeous (the girls are all the same colour as the mum as well) we've also said we know people who have boys, so other then making sure they don't mount her that would probably work out better when trying to socialise her as they'd be less likely to fight. But the plan is to just meet them and see which one we like and which one has more of a personality for us ect.

Oh Kim that is really sad. I always think of that day when we have to do it for Alfie and I get really upset. I know he is only a dog but he is more than that to us. He is our child since we don't have any. But the best thing is to be there for them and enjoy what time you have left. xxx

We are also going to be decorating this month. Have to repaint our living room but my hubby is not quick to get it started though. I have be asking for this done oh just about 3 years!!! My father in law is a painter and I have being asking would he do it for the passed 3 years!!! But he seems to paint my hubby's siblings houses quicker since they have kids! But I have said it has to be done before the end of November and I don't care who does it, lol. I am even planning to take time off work to start it myself. That's the only way I get things done.

Kim, sending you big cuddles for you, hubby and Charlie xxxx hope your enjoying all your special time with her <3

Well well well, had a day from hell and a day from heaven. Firstly we find out some bast**d has cloned my bank card. They have then mad another card, gone to America and withdrawn £210 on my account!!!!! Luckily bank are refunding it straight away, but seriously what sort of low life's are there out there today!!!!!

We have been out for sister in laws birthday to a beautiful restaurant and whilst there we have booked to go to their Christmas ball on 6th December, so this is a new date to aim for on the weight loss front.

Then we had my cousins birthday party tonight. It was AMAZING!!! Bit peeved off that people started drinking out litre of vodka and we ended up with nothing left! But hey ho it was a great night.

Here is a picture of me as a cow (mum was a cow girl!) rich was a ninja (his link panther costume wasn't delivered in time) and my beauty girl as a leopard <3 xx

Oh Nikki, that is terrible about your bank card but at least the bank is refunding you the money. And that's a lovely wee photograph. xx

I had such a terrible weekend in terms of eating! I just cannot be good over the weekend. I eat way too much crisps and chocolate and I wouldn't mind as much but I had eat near my daily limit of syns during the week.
But despite that I still managed to lose 0.8lbs and now down to 9st 0.2lbs. I did weigh myself in my fleece pjs and it was looking like a 0.4lbs gains so stripped down to my t-shirt and got my loss. Who would have thought a pair of fleece pjs could weigh 1.2lbs!!! :D

Can't believe there is only 7 weeks to go! I am just hoping my goal to 8st is realistic. If I lost 2lbs per week I could just make it. I am planning on eating none to very little syns from Monday to Thursday so if I do be bad at the weekend then I have the syns there to play with.

I have also decided to give up my crossfit class. I have been doing it since May but it is a tough old class and I just do not look forward to going to it. I also run twice a week and I would also like to start going to our local stitch ‘n’ ***** group. My hubby hardly sees me as it is so I think I need to give something up to do something else more relaxing.

Why dont you weigh in the nuddy Sinead, you might have seen the 8's then ?! Well done on the loss tho. You must be eating very SW friendly during the week to be able to balance yourself out and get a loss.

I think most of us find weekends quite difficult as its always associated with 'nice' things. My hubby is away all week and gets home on a Friday and we both find it quite challenging to not have anything 'naughty'!

There is no point in doing any form of exercise if you dont enjoy it, because it comes a chore then. Spending time with hubby is much more important than working up a sweat doing something you dont enjoy......I could think of better things to do lol!
Surely lifting a wine glass to your mouth must burn some calories lol !

Thanks for the lovely comments ladies.

Well done on the loss sinead.

Today was the funeral, a lovely day and it's takeaway curry tonight.

I think it will be a couple of lb gain from slight over eating and water retention from the meds. They are all done now though so hope a little gain on Wednesday x

You never known Nikki, as sometimes when we over indulge the scales can be kind to us !

Its gone very quiet on here lately......are you all being naughty girls?!

I was actually really good. Instead of calorie laden chicken korma I would usually have I had some chow mien from the Chinese and it was revolting!

The scales are still stuck at 11st bang on, hoping they drop a little for tomorrow nights weigh in. I can deal with a gain up to 1.5lb but will be annoyed with anything more. Going for it this week! X

That's awful Nikki, but glad you got it sorted

I'm not going to WI tonight, little one wants to see fireworks... so he's getting fireworks, there was a time when I wouldn't have dreamt of skipping WI... especially after a holiday, but do you know what I'm not too bothered-yeah I haven't stuck to it and yes I am making healthier choices now, but the whole going to group thing and getting weighed... I think I'm a little over it. Right now I'd happily plod along doing my best and not weighing at all. I can't fit in those jeans I loved last year which my Auntie gave me, but I wonder if that's possibly down to my massive leg muscles rather then much else as I don't feel loads bigger and my tops all still fit :/

I'm considering buying some scales for home anyway...so may give up on group, I love the people there ect. but I do have lots of other things on and a family ect. The home scales would be handy for weighing the puppy anyway (no naked weighing for me as the only hard floor we have is in the kitchen anyway)

I'm full of cold at the minute as well, just had a hot lemon..... well a hot blackcurrent, usually I'd have green tea with lemon and a paracetomol but I'm pretty sure our green tea and red bush has been muddled up and I didn't fancy red bush with lemon... I'm hoping they're about 1/2 syn?

Oh and any suggestions on scales, I've seen these ones?
Buy Salter Compact Glass Scale 9081 SV3R from our Bathroom Scales range - Tesco.com do you think they'd be any good?

(I'll be honest its partly just wanting to carry on with the challenge that is pushing me to find a way to get weighed)

These are the scales I have Donna and they are spot on. Give or take 0.5lb. I would love to give up group and spend £20 a month on Millie but I know I would go off the rails. Really disappointed that I've crept up 3lb in a week and I'm hoping it's a combination of tablets, star week and being poorly :-( x

Hi girls
Sorry not been around it's been a bonkers week again ... Our shop has been burgled so not had the best week they'd tried before just damaging the door but thus time got in... Luckily they only took the float about £30 but now the repairs are up to about £400-500 so really naffed off... Bet they get away with it too.

Sorry you've had your card cloned too Nikki I feel for you glad your bank is putting it back, hoping we can claim on our insurance but still got to find the excess so no win in this situation ... So mad :-(

Anyway lost 4lb at wi yippee !!!! So that's my 3lb gain gone and a nice little lb this week so now 10.1 be great to get 2 off next week to see those 9's again !!!

Hope you are all doing good
Kim, How's Charlie doing?xx
