Just made this apple and mincemeat rice pudding, which is syn free on EE or Green if you use HE's

50g pudding rice
300 ml skimmed milk (1 HEA)
300 ml water
400g apple chopped 2 tbsp mincemeat (2 HEB)
2 egg yolks

cook 150 oven for 2 hours
it was sweet enough for me without adding extra sugar or sweetener, but I might add some extra cinnamon or mixed spice next time

enough for 4 portions

however, its not pretty (looks like someone already ate it ;))

will be having some tonight for dessert, and I think some for breakfast tomorrow...

Hazysummer,

Where did you read / learn that mincemeat can be used as HEB? I haven't got access to SW online anymore but I'd be very surprised (happy, but surprised) to discover that they'd included mincemeat under HE.

However, with only 2tbsn twixt 4 servings, there won't be many syns to have to worry about.

Hi Minimunchkins, its on the Healthy Extra Choices B both days "227g apple, baked and 1 tbsp mincemeat"

I double checked yesterday on the main forum...to be sure that it was 227 raw weight of apple - which meant 3 apples for me in the rice pud today

syn list has 1tbsp as 2 syns
