I have such a passion for art but unfortunately my talent doesnt match up to it. Most of the stuff I do is abstract designs with no point to it at all but I really enjoy it. Im always messing around doing graphics on the computer and I love photography aswell. Im hoping if I lose the weight it might give me the confidence to finally get my dream job. Anyone else feel like your lack of confidence is holding you back from doing what you want?

yup.. Technically i'm a jewler/jewellery maker. I bead and I silversmith. some of my stuff is very nice and would sell in the high end shops that are visited by the little size 4 wannabe wags with too much money but I just do not have the confience to pitch them to them so I just plug away locally. Maybe one day

Least you have a talent you should definitely go for it Is your jewellery doing good locally? U should email some pics of your jewellery to some modelling agencies to see if u can get some of the models to wear them That might be a good start for u :)

crispy, if you enjoy design work and art, you should try downloading Photoshop for your computer.

I loved art when I was at school so downloaded PS almost 2yrs ago with the sole purpose of editing photos and such......................2yrs later and I am now making flyers, business cards, designing small and large artwork and have even designed background images for a few websites.

all self there is thousands of tutorials online.

It really does let you express your artistic side as you can edit and go over things with ease unlike paper, all you need is a good design brain to make some awesome pieces of work ;)

so don't keep yourself held back

Thanks Garymack, I have PS on my laptop so I'm always doing stuff with that. That's brilliant that you're doing flyers and business cards now, Do you have a really good printer then?
