ASBO's abolished...

CrimBo ..... :D:D

It never ceases to amaze me on how much money the government wastes on bring in new initiatives and then a few years down the line, when they realise they are not working, they change it to something else, which will also not work and so on and so on!!!

I heard on the news that they are going to confiscate their iPods, mobile phones etc etc. So, the kids that are going to be affected by this are not little angels, so all they are going to do is go out and knick some poor ******* iPod and phone!!!! Are the government that so far removed from reality that they think that by just simply taking these things away it is going to improve the kids behaviour!!!!!!?????!!!

hi, love the term crimbo, know some lads that loved having the abos(badge of honour) they were also on the tag, but, you could bet they would be out every night, causing bother, so annoying:mad:

What if the people causing trouble don't have ipods or fancy mobile phones?

I fail to understand how taking those luxuries away from the people misbehaving will result in better behaviour.. It's not like the ipod was encouraging the bad behaviour?

I'd hate to be the policewoman who has to take it off them, that's for sure! It won't make anyone's life any easier.

I've worked with local government and alongside the civil service for long enough to realise that any 'change' will simply be a re-branding of the same product. Every party or leader feels they need to put their own stamp on everything, but it rarely achieves a positive change.

Personally I would just round them all up and let them live on an island together away from the rest of us who want to live in happy friendly communities. CrimBO Island lol :)

No matter what they call it and what they do or don't do (they being the government), there will still be little bas****s roaming the streets causing trouble.
Nothing will change unfortunately!

That's appalling that is. The local chavs and ne'er-do-wells will have no "badge of honour" to collect now.

Some of them might even have to stop hanging around hassling folk and become model citizens!

Perish the thought.
