Asian pears - first fruit dissapointment for ages.

Was really looking forward to these, and they don't taste of anything.

I had 2 plums, 3 slices of watermelon, and one of these on my breakfast platter today - all lovely (as usual) apart from the expensive pears.

Has anyone else tried these? Have I just been unlucky, or are they usually like eating raw potato??

I bought one in Tesco when they were on offer. Made me think of a tasteless watery cardboard-not that I can remember eating any of that!lol x

Hmmm - not just me then. Will leave the others a bit to see if they improve with ripening, but not holding out much hope.

I like them but there isn't much taste with them, personally think they taste gross when they are really ripe because they tend to go slimy and gritty. Do seem to taste a bit nicer when out of the fridge if that helps. Hugs Crystal xx

Dragon fruit was my last fruit disappointment. Not tried this though, and I don't think I will either!!

Never mind - grapes, strawberries, melons and plums are all gorgeous, and cheap, at the moment. Can't win em all.
