    Hi,

I woke up yesterday with a really sore throat, and it has slowly developed into a really bad cold. I have totally lost my voice (must be all the chatting I do in this forum), my chest is really bad, sore heads and I am feeling weak as water...

Its very bad timing for me as I have my own business and I had also really got into a whole fitness regime which I am going to have to put on hold. :(

Oh i feel like poo.... but gotta get rid of this cold pronto, I got too much to do to be sick!

Has anyone else had a bad cold on TFR? Im guessing just drink **** loads of water and hot drinks and take pain killers and rest?

Im worried this has happened cos i didnt drink a couple of my shakes quick enough. I noticed a couple of times I would make a shake and come on this forum and then realise I hadnt finished my shake! So maybe my body didnt get enough nutrients to fight off any nasty bugs!

Oh dear sweetie. I hope you feel better very soon. As for what caused it, I really don't know. It could be down the vitamins etc getting dissolved in the shakes due to you not drinking them quick enough or it could just be one of those things :( Either way, keep the fluids up and take it easy chica xx

Sorry you aren't feeling well, hun. Keep glugging the water, plenty of Paracetamol and rest as much as you can. Hope you soon start feeling better. x p.s don't worry about the exercise until you're completely better.

I had a simmilar problem having spoke to the pharmacist where i get my LT from gave me Co-codamol & cleared up within a couple of days.

Co-codamol contains a combination of two pain-killing ingredients paracetamol and codeine. It is used to stop pain and fever (high temperature).
Co-codamol can be used to relieve pain caused by rheumatic and muscular pain, sprains, strains, backache, headache, sore throat, toothache and period pain. It is also useful in treating cold and 'flu-like' symptoms and reducing fever (high temperature).

Hope this helps & you get better,

    Hi,

Thanks again to everyone and you get well wishes! :)

My mum spoke to the LT chemist and was advised that I can take Benylin Cold and Flu and Sudafed.

Mum got both options for me - the Benylin apparently will make me drowsey - so thought that sounded like a good option for today. Just took them about 20 mins ago so I will probably be dosey soon...
