Hello everyone,

I am about to start following Cambridge again after 2 failed attempts in the past :rolleyes:

I was just wondering.... I know that you are not supposed to have the bars until week 3 but am conscious of the fact that I have given up twice on day 5 after just having the tetras (Don't like any powdered shakes or soups). I think if I can look forward to sitting down with a bar on an evening it might just get me through and help me stick to the diet this time.

What do you guys think? Should I just stick with the shakes and porridge as recommended and hope I can get past the fifth day this time or should I start from day 1 with the bars as I feel this may help me stick with it :sigh::sigh::sigh:

If anyone has any experience with having bars from day 1, I would love to hear about them please including what your losses were like etc

Thanx for reading :D xxx

i would stick with having the bars only from week 3, if you get to day 5 and think you are going to end up cheating maybe SS+ would be better for you, at least then with having a small meal it may just help you not to quit :)

The last time I did cambridge I got the bars from week one. Cdc didnt mention that couldn't have them and I didn't have any problems but then everyone is different so might not work for you

I didn't know you couldn't have bars until week 3 --- I've always had them after week 1 as long as my body was in ketosis!

hoping for a good loss

most of the bars are higher in carbs than the shakes, or so i'm led to believe, and some people react badly to the bars in that they can't cope with the extra carbs and it makes them a little hungrier again or it takes them longer to get into ketosis. i would say go by what your individual CDC says. state your issue and let them decide with you.
Hhhmmm interesting, thank you for your replies.

Suppose it's a case of try them and see. I think I'll get a couple as extras when I see my councillor tomorrow and IF I really need to eat something around day 5 I've at least got something "legal" to have in place of a shake.
I would rather have slightly slower weight loss through eating the odd bar than fail again and end up with no weight loss.

You may have a 'slight' wind problem eating that many bars in one day!!!!!!!

One per day is enough....trust me lol... dont think Cambridge like you having more than 1 a day x
