Hi everyone,
I've heard that your belly is the hardest part to get rid of, I've lost 2st 5bls so far so understandably I still have the belly, the rest of me has shrunk though and when I'm dressed my belly doesn't look noticable cos it's not and never has been a sticky outty fat belly but (even worse) a hangy downy one.
Can anyone tell me, will I actuallu lose this and what can I do to make it catch up with the rest of me? I don't want to end up with skinny legs but still wearing 18s.

Can anyone pleeeeease help?!??!

xxxx

Have you the confidence to go to a gym???

I think weight loss has to go hand in hand with excercise. (says she who hasnt been in a gym for ten years)

There a some great dvds out ,to excercise at home .The Natalie Cassidy one looks fab and straight forward.

if i lose weight i will have to make myself do something.

So far most of my weightloss has been from my belly - probably cos I had most to lose there! I have also lost a chin. My daughter lost hers from her face and boobs mainly. I've gone from size 22 to size 18 and today I bought some size 16 stuff - just cheap things from George to tide me over.

you must b feeling so chuffed with yourself . WHO NEEDS RED WINE TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD??????

HENPORN HAVE YOU CHEATED AT ALL DURING THE 7 WEEKS. you must have??????

Hey Daisy! Mine went jelly like but the more I lost and then did a bit of toning and used a slender tone it has considerably changed obviously still got work to do with the diet and all! but I found it went like that then I lost it

Hope xx

Oh Forever hope you've given me hope THANK YOU!!
Mine is gone jelly like too and not very plesent looking but I'm glad cos I can see it's changing!! Brilliant, when I lose a bit more off it I'll tone the -then little- monster up!!

Cheers:):):)

Crunchies, crunchies, crunchies.....and I don't mean the Chocolate type.....that would be good though if you got a slim tummy eating them!! I try and do between 50-100 a night plus leg lifts etc. I lie on the floor when I'm watching TV and do a few floor exercises. I can honestly see the difference in my tummy and thighs.

Will doing this when I've still alot to lose from it not turn it to muscle Shaz? I will defo need to tone but I thought that came after losing it?

Thanks:)

Yep, I had a bad cold last week and had two pieces of small bread with my chicken soup. As soon as I had it, I posted on here to confess. Apart from that, no I haven't cheated.

My daughter's on her refeed at the moment and so the smell of food is wafting through the house again. I usually find something else to do at that time.

My pharmasist advised I exercise from day 1. It is tougher when you have more to lose and maybe a few crunchies, leg lifts etc would be just as effective as a slimmer person doing lots......when you think if you lift your leg up and it weighs that bit more its like you've added those strap on ankle weight thingies so it would surely be beneficial. Fat cannot be turned into muscle...its not physically possible, but under the fat the muscles can be toned and as you are melting your fat off once its gone you'll already be lovely and toned underneath. I don't think there is ever a bad time to do a bit of exercise.....we are only talking gentle toning. I asked him about muscle weighing more then fat etc etc and he said that the amount I was doing wouldn't show on the scales.

Thats my opinion....what does everyone else think.....right/wrong?

To Henpom I cant believe people have so much will power. im struggling. Ive already been naughty and its only day four. Well done your doing so well-true inspiration

My "jelly belly" as my son likes to refer to it is shrinking quite nicely. This is so much different from any other diets i've done, my belly has been the one thing which has been difficult to shift, i've been using my ab-roller which hasn't seen the light of day for years, and i'm starting to notice some good results. i've lost 4 inches off my waist, which i'm thrilled about. You don't have to go mad just some gentle exercise is better than no exercise. Good luck and watch your belly melt away. xx

Most of my weight has gone from my face and chest so far. However, I have been living pretty much in one pair of trousers so hadn't really noticed any change. However, today I bought a size 18 skirt. It is a bit tight but not so tight I couldn't wear it to work etc and best of all it is a size 18! :) My belly has gone very jelly like though and like you Daisy - it was always more of a hangy down one than a sticky out one. I'll cope with how it looks at the end when I get there - might just have to tuck it in my knickers!

I've recently been reading up on metabolism and how important it is to weight loss and maintaining your weight. Basically, the faster your metabolism, the more calories your body burns. Two things increase your metabolism. 1) Food - little and often is the best way to keep your metabolism burning and 2) exercise - cardio burns the fat off of you but it is muscle that keeps your metabolism going at a good pace. The article said that having an extra 1lb of muscle on you increased your calorie expenditure by 50 calories each day. So even though you put on some pounds with the muscle, the more muscle you have the faster you are going to burn away your pounds. Plus, with more muscle and more tone to your body, you will actually appear smaller.

I highly recommend reading up on metabolism as it's pretty important in the weight loss fight!

Very interesting stuff! The pharmasist said if I went to the gym to concentrate on doing light weights to build up muscle, that it would be more adventagous then cardio and I honestly didn't believe him.......maybe I should not have doubted him.
