'BIG' .......Bring on the summer :D

Colley, if you are going back to CD what are you on at the moment? CD is one of the few diets I haven't tried (done WW x too many times to count, Slimming Magazine, Lighterlife, hypnotherapy, colonic irrigation, calorie counting, Atkins, bulimia, blah, blah, blah...). What is it like?

Have decided to have a few days on protein shakes & bars only... having had a few carbs need to flush them out of my system & get back on track!!

right now i'm cutting back the carbs and upping my water intake in preparation for going back to CD sole source, to be honest i failed last time i did it, i was on day 3/4 and took 2 packs to work for breakfast/lunch which i hadn't tried before, turned out i didn't like either of them and wound up so upset i couldn't have a "meal" that i folded and never went back! which is a shame because genuinely i wasn't hungry and i was feeling really positive about the fast weight loss- my mid week weigh showed me as 6lb down! i struggled with the texture of the shakes too but i started a thread in the CD forum on here and people were really helpful with how to make the shakes more palatable and different options.

i'm going to do CD porridge for breakfast, a shake for lunch, then a soup for tea and cause i'm tall i get another pack and i'll prob have a mousse or something pudding-y after tea!

i know how you feel, i've tried everything going too. the feeling of self loathing over my weight is my biggest demon in life, but when i do ww etc i can't help but cheat (oh i'll make up the points tomorrow... etc) whereas with CD it's set in stone what you can and can't have- no room for naughtiness! i need to be disciplined cause i just can't behave!

this is starting to read like a dodgy porno lol x

I'd like to join the 'Big 4 stone challenge' :). I currently weigh 13stones :)() and would like to slim down to 9st by September. I couldn't stand another 'fat' summer! I also want to get my BMI back into the 'Healthy' range, and at my target weight it should be 22.2.

I am not following any specific diet and am hoping to lose weight simply through healthy eating and exercise. I have reduced my calorie intake to 1500, and have burnt almost 700 cals today through a couple of hours' power-walking and and some mild aerobics
, so... here's to getting rid of the junk in my trunk :p

nee- i feel the same way when i'm somewhere with mirrors. it actually makes me want to cry! but this is why we're here. we want to wolf whistle at the mirrors! ;)

i'm going to be making the switch over to cambridge as of next week. gotta do this. x

well, im feeling a bit down today.

I know my weigh day is monday..but i do like to weigh myself on a morning every day! :eek: bad i know, especially as i have not lost even half a pound since monday, so now im a bit down!

I have heard of an exercise video called the 30 day shred..ive heard good things about it, and it has 3 different levels, so i would start at level 1, but what i really like about it, the whole thing is 20 mins, including warm up and cool down. I have other exercise videos and they are 50 mins to 1 hr or more! I think even i could manage to fit in 20 minutes!

Going out for a meal tomorrow night though!!! Worrying about what im going to have!

Dont be down, if this week is bad then next week will be good, Im certain of it and also with the meal, like someone suggested have a little healthy nibble before you go which will mean you will be abit fuller whilst out and not have as much or be tempted by too much either

I have heard of the dvd too, I looked for it on ebay but never did buy it, not sure why really!!

Today I've been good and marched around the park for 45 mins with the doggie. I'm spring cleaning today (yeuch) and am hoping to manage the diet well today. Tonight I am going out but will be designated driver as this avoids any risk of adding unnecessary empty calories from the old lager.

Thank you Judith, thats really sweet of you :) Feeling much more positive today - not that my scales are reflecting it!! Maybe I need to lower my food intake, not sure yet but Ill see how it goes.

Im sure the doggie was very happy with you for the nice 45 min walk too, If not pouring with rain Ill be out for a long one tomorrow - preparing for Mondays weigh in ha!

Thankyou for the kind words! :) I am feeling very motivated but I'm aware it's only the beginning for me, I hope I can keep at it. I also noticed we are the same height? :D so we're probably looking at very similar target weights. Let me know how it goes for you, I'm sure we can do this xx

Im also very motivated at the mo, had a little down day yesterday but back on it today and had no mistakes over the last 3 weeks apart from eating 2 extra slices of toast but ill let myself off that one hee hee

Yes, we are same height :) I wanna get to 126lbs but ideally would wanna be 112 ish :) such a long journey for me but Im sure if I keep in this frame of mind ill get there!!!

112, that's 8 stones right? Nice :D. I think I'll see how 9 looks (when I get there :() and then maybe lose an extra half-stone just to tone up a bit, but I want to keep reasonable boobs & hips too :eek:. My step-sister is my height, maybe a smidgen taller, and she weighs 119 and has the most fabulous body I've ever seen on anyone. Very small built/thin, but still slightly curvy/feminine. If I could look anything like her I would be a very, very happy bunny :D
 
Haven't been on for a while due to a family crisis!!! I have not been keeping up with my 30 day shred DVD...... Typical of me!!! But due to the worry and stress caused by the family crisis and my current chest infection I have dropped a further 7lbs and am not down to 19st 10lbs....

I'm thrilled..... I am eating better now too. Similar to Atkins diet but not so strict. reducing carbs and fat and increasing lean protein and fresh fruit and veg.

One of my mini goals was to be under 20st by my birthday..... My birthday is Monday and I'm 2 days early YAY!!!

Well done to everyone else too fab weight loses so far...... My motovation has never been so high....Lets hope it stays...

At the moment I am having a love affair with fruit :eek:. One average sized orange is about 60 cals, and so I snack on 1 every time I feel hungry between meals, and they always manage to make me feel full. Really helps cut the calories :D

My current addiction is Curyly Wurlies. About 120 cals each and they take ages to eat (unlike a Kit Kat which I seem to be able to wolf down in seconds).

Weekend pretty good so far and have planned how to have family Sunday roast later without going overboard.

hi new here, i have 42 lbs to lose , i feel ok at 12stone, would like to achieve this before hols 22nd september. i have been going to weight watchers for 4weeks and have lost 5lb. but had a very bad cold and put 1 1/2lbs back on....back on track today. i hope to lose 3lbs by saturday 27th, i can't really afford weight watchers for more than a few months so i hope this site will be my motivation...kind regards to all

I have lost 2lbs this week. That is a total of 11lbs......i think this is the longest myself and dh have ever stuck to anything, and i feel quite positive we will do it this time. He has lost a stone so far

Well done on the 2lbs :)

My total for the month is 12lbs so shouldnt grumble but I think its good to have targets, which mine is a minimum of 2lbs per week, but hey ho :)

Well done to everyone so far this month I think we have all done fantastic
