Big treat, BIG dilemma

Okay, I'm going to visit family in Italy at the end of March, only for a five day break but it's going to be very, very difficult to stick to 20 or even 40g of carbs per day. :sigh: While I'm really looking forward to seeing my folks, I'm dreading the mealtime situations with wanting to eat, not eat,:eek:, just a little, no I really shouldnt but I suppose I could..........:break_diet:It's pasta, tomatoes, cakes, milk, you name any high carb and I'll be tempted with it...as well as the wine of course.
Help! Any ideas anyone? I'll be staying with my cousin so will have some degree of 'control' but when I visit other family, they would be offended if I didnt eat what they offered. :eek:
