bread

rice cakes ? I have them with extra lite philly.

Not sure about oatcakes-would have to check out the packs

I'm wheat intolerant too. Like mommyB said rice cakes are a good alternative.

If your not on phase I, there's a good brand of bread called "Genius." I know Sainsbury's sells it and Tesco has a lot of wheat free rolls, cripsbreads etc. too. There are a lot of wheat free breads some not so good and some great. Just have to experiment and see what you like. Good luck.

The Genius has 14.1 carbs per slice. Guess it is high but maybe you could have in phase 2 or 3 as a part of a carb meal or a cheat.

I know that if I cut out wheat, I don't need to worry too much about carbs and sugar, although I try to keep them on the low side. That's just me. It was a real revelation to discover I can have carbs and still lose weight as long as I stay away from wheat.
