Hi Lou!!!

Coincidentally 2012 is going to be my year too (we can share though lol) I have 10 stone 5.5lbs to lose which is half of me so I'd happily be your buddy if you'd have me :)

What diet are you on? I'm doing WW Pro Points mixed in with some exercise :)

Hi, would love to be slim buddies.. Looks like 2012 is gunna be our year :0)
At the moment ive not joined any group but im looking at slimming world. Either plan this weight has gotta go. Ive started to do a little exercise, mainly walking everyother day for 30mins. Breaking me in slowly. Feels like a marathon at the moment :)
Hows your day been?

Hi Lou & Shona

Yay slim sisters :)

How are you both today?

Lou - slimming world is ok, I have done it a couple of times before but quit cause that's what I use to do!! (Not anymore in 2012!!!) if you do decided on Slimming World I have loads if recipes to share :) and will gladly help you give you some suggestions on meal planning (I love lists and planning!!!)

Shona - what diet are you on? How have you done since October?

Today was ok - I woke up late and found that my DS had washed the 1 pair of trousers that fit me for work and they werent dry. He didn't understand when I said I had nothing else to wear (he's 10 stone and can see his bones!!)
Work was ok, which is better than recently, I hate my job normally but don't feel like I can go for job interviews cause I'll be judged on my size :(
I forgot to eat breakfast and had a salad, fruit and WW yogurt for lunch. I had a gym consultation at 5pm as I have been referred for free membership due to the lifestyle program at my doctors. Today was all about paperwork and weighing(!) I swear that every time I have to get weighed it is by the FITTEST man :)
I was starving on the way home when my SIL called and convinced me to go to Zumba (she lost 4 stone last year through diet and exercise) so I did that class then really wasn't hungry so had to make myself have my tea and some extra points through a snack of granola, still not had enough points for the day but got closer than had I not snacked.
I love Tuesday night tv - Biggest Loser UK and US - I record both and watch them in bed whilst meal planning :)

What have you both been up to today?

Stokegal x

Hey guys,

Doing celeb slim diet and no carbs at the moment, but once I've lost the weight will prob go onto SS or WW to maintain, but that is a long way in the distance. Have gotten a bit used to planning the meals in advance and really look forward to my food! Was really hard at the start breaking my habbits though, as my hubbie works backshift so used to eat on my own once the kids went to bed, as I get a bit lonely, food was my friend.

Stokegal I know how you feel about work, got told yesterday by my manager that they want us dressing smarter for work, at the moment I only have a pair of jeans and a pair of trousers that fit at the moment, and I'm not going out and splashing money on new clothes! Especially when there are limited stores that I can shop in, and when I'm gonna loose more weight this year! :D

xx

Hey peeps,
Well what a day!! Arrgh work awful as usual :( snap with the clothes situation, only got 2 pair of jeans which is not good :(
Im sorta watching the calories whilst trying sw as still find it hard to believe u can eat so much and lose weight.
Ive also been on the doctors plan, they call it specialist weight management team, was brilliant but whn my support worker left fr a new job, i felt like they rest couldnt b bothered so i just give up :(
Im trying things my way now!! Haha famous last words :) fingers crossed,
Glad ive got you to keep me going, ive even booked a holiday to tenerife in nov as a lil goal, hmmmmm do they do xxxl seat belts :-/
Hope uv had a better day,
Lou.x

Hi Lou,
I need a buddie like u. I hope we can motivate each other. I have struggled wit my weight all my life. Name de diet, ave tried n failed. Starting again.
This time I mean it. Ave got 8 stones to lose and 38LL boobs. Can't walk 20 meters without puffin n panting. An tired of elastic band pants. Oh ave decided to try exante, it's cheap n has great success stories.

Hi itsokay
Ur most welcome to join in the lil bussies r us hehe :)
I totally get where ur comin from with the walking, i need oxygen when i get to top of stairs :/
Ive started by taking the dog for a walk, ok it takes me 1/2 hr of stopping n puffin n pantin but every lil helps. To be honest of not heard of exante( think thats what it was), what does it envolve?
Nice to have you along :D
Lou.x

Exante is just like Cambridge/ liter L. Only much much cheaper. U purchase ur stuff online. One disadv is u ave to motivate urself. No group classes or weigh ins.

Hi itsokay - welcome to the group :) and 38LL - bl**dy hell, nought my double g's were bad enough - I feel for your poor back :(

I hear you on the fitness front, or lack of it in my case :)I think you'd be surprised how soon your build fitness though. I do a bit of Zumba (2/3 times a week) and found the first few classes so hard but now I can get through a class without a massive amount of huff and puff. I had a few weeks off over Christmas and lost my fitness just as fast though. I struggled with my Zumba class last night but did ok tonight.

Shona they do some £5 black trousers in Asda which look ok - they do go up to a size 22, when I did the Cambridge before I bought a pair in every size from 22 to 10 and was determined to work down the sizes, when I started I couldn't even fasten the 22's but worked down to the 16's - now I have put all my weight back on (and then some) I'm once again at the 22's not fitting :(

Lou - do you get free gym and slimming club vouchers on your referral? I get 5 months at the gym which I'm so excited about :)

Just to give everyone a bit of background about me (I'm not all about the diet lol) - I'm 27 with a 2 year old boy (he's the big 3 in 2 weeks) and am in the process of moving house (darn solicitors holding things up) my OH is really supportive of my weight loss without telling me that I need to lose weight. I work in a call centre and am desperate to leave my job :( so that's me - what about you ladies??

Hi stokegal,
Im 38.. Dreading the being fat at fortu :(
No kids (phew) nieces n nephews are bad enough lol.. :)
I work in a data processing centre and like urself hate it!!!
My oh is a hgv driver on the dat shifts but they tend to finish late anyway.
I gt a gym pass for 12wks bt whn i went for my induction i sorta clashed wiv the i av better things to do instructor!
Things were brill while jill was my mentor but now she left u cnt stand it and av nt bothered to go bak.. Hate being told that this is my last chance saloon ;(
So its jus me, a very supportive oh and the woof,
Lou.x

Hey gals,
Well today seems to have gone ok for me although i may have had a wee bit to much for dinner, dont know if its just me getting paranoid about plate sizes! Had spag bol without the pasta, but with cauliflower! I know it sounds rank but tasted ok.

I'm feeling that i should be joining a gym or something just now, but cannot face it on my own. The girls at my work are talking about joining curves and going after work (i work part time in a call centre too) so we'd all go together and get puffed out! In the mean time I'm thinking about getting a kettle bell to try and tone up my arms and stomach.

And about me I'm 31 and have to georgeous girls who are 4 and 20mths. So I have to get slimmer for them, dont want to be the fat mum standing for them at the gates at school!

xx

Oh and thanks stokegal for the tip about asda, will have to pop in when I get paid. Will wait a wee while to make sure that everyone else is picking up the smart stakes at work before I go out and splash money on pointless clothes though! xx

Seems like we're office dollies ;)
I also think i need to exercise but join a gym..... Erm nope... Not that brave :/
So just walking round the estate for 30mins thats my lot at the mo... Doing ok food wise but the fruit pastilles huuuge box that my friend bought me are begging to be eaten ;)

:) Lou - Step AWAY from the sweets lol and my iPhone writes all random words instead of the ones I actually want it to wrote.

Shona - I hear you about the school gates - my ds starts in September and I don't want to be fat mum at the gates :(

It was my first official weigh in yesterday - I lost 5.5lbs which is great but slightly disheartening after doing the Cambridge diet before and getting use to 1st week losses of 13/14lbs - need to keep reminding myself that I don't keep Cambridge weight off and I will keep this off. I have a huge headache now and am in bed already so off to sleep soon, hope you are both doing ok x

Hi skokegal, woohoo, well done on your loss hun ,, :)
So proud of you, 2012 is guna be our year :)
Didnt touch the sweets, sent em to work with the oh.... Lol
Not had too bad a week, foodwise and even done a lil exercise each day ;) so all good at the moment (know it wont last but know the support will be free flowing)
Hope you feel better soon hunn x
Lou.x

Well done for stepping away from the sweets, I find it hard being around them all the time! My oh eats like a horse and is not overweight at all. And he sits all day at work (is a bus driver).

Been away out and tackled Ikea this morning - fighting my way through the trolleys and listening to my eldest winge about having to walk around - had to be done though. But at the end where the tills are they have there food stand with ice cream and buns tempted!

Stokegal - well done on your weight loss :happy096: thats nearly half a stone. We just have to keep plodding along, it all adds up!

Hope you both have a good weekend x
