Bye bye mummy tummy! Dukan round 2 :)

Hey Leah

How is baby Harry doing?

Had to tell you that I have been loving the biscuit. Eating it everyday! With ginger.

Hi bonkers! aww I'm glad you like them I've been "purposefully" forgetting my oatbran so I get a ginger biscuit before bed with a coffee :)

I wish I could say he was getting better but nope, still a poorly little man. Plenty of cuddles and attention for him though :)

Xx

Day 6 - 12 stone 6 & 1/4 (-1/4lb) total = 4 & 1/4lb

So the weight loss is slow for first week and I would have expected a much bigger loss than this :/ never mind :(

B - yoghurt
L - dippy eggs and chicken soldiers
D - chicken noodle soup
S - will have oatbran biscuit later

So the noodles were, erm, strange? I've never chewed on a noodle before lol. Not there biggest fan but if they fill me up then might try them again.

Also I've been looking everywhere for the Dukan chilli recipe and I can't for the life of me find it!!! Could someone bump it for me or kindly let me have the recipe please :) xxx

Leah

Can't find a recipe but I would just use minced beef (or turkey mince), onion, tinned tomatoes and chilli powder or fresh chillies - dry fried off and summers down.

Oh they are ... but oh so filling! i didnt try them in soups (not a soup fan) but whenever we cooked them was dry fried for a long time to get out all moisture before adding any sauce.

give harry a cuddle from me tonight :hug99:

Bonkers I'm sorry to say I've completely gone off them! Only down to one reason. And it's quite gross. I think you may guess why.. Tmi but they don't 'digest' I thought I had worms this morning!!!!! Can't believe I've just admitted that lol xx

Day 7 - 12 stone 5 & 1/2 (-3/4lb) total loss 5lbs

PV (my first PV day, can't wait for my veggies!)

B - oatbran porridge
L - going to make Dukan chilli and bns chips
D - will probably still be full from lunch but if not I'll have a tin of tuna

Sorry to hear your little one is still poorly Leah - hope he's on the mend soon. It must be horrible seeing him so poorly. :(

Sounds like you're doing brilliantly with the Dukan-ing though.

I think the shirataki noodles are an acquired taste. I quite like them, but tend to dry fry them until they are almost crispy (sometimes I've left them too long & they've actually been crispy... Whoops). They're much more palatable that way, I find! Never had the, urm, after effects you've described though! That'd definitely put me right off!

Thanks mini :) it's horrible seeing him like this but I've just learnt that babies can have upto 8 colds in their first year?! Bloody hell.

Well the after effects I'm wondering May be down to taking senakot tablets last night so maybe I didn't give my body 'time to digest' last nights food...? Maybe that's why it went through like that... Still disturbing lol xx

O-M-G!

Just had the most amazing dinner ever I swear it felt like I wasn't on a diet I would happily eat it once off Dukan!

I made the chilli following a recipe I found on here somewhere, I will never ever use a jar sauce ever again! I'm converted :)

That does look amazing! What chips are those again?

Dinner looks good! I've never had that problem with the noodles but am with you that they're plain weird (and in addition I don't think they're worth the money!)
Perhaps try a cold glass of water first thing if you're struggling with "transit". And some rhubarb?

Just weighed in after 7 days and lost another 1lb taking my total loss for week one 6lbs!! I'm now 12 stone 4 and 1/2lb! I'm happy with that for a starting point :) maybe I'll be in the 11s in 2 weeks????? I hope so xxx

Day 8 - 12 stone 4 & 1/2 (-1lb) total loss 6lb

Really pleased with first weeks loss especially since totm started Saturday! Also staring to drink more water now.

B - oatbran porridge
S - jelly
L - tin of tuna and 4 crab sticks
D - I'm going to attempt some sort of beef dish today like beef in black bean sauce style but not black bean lol just gunna chuck a load of spices and soy sauce in and see what happens, going to stir fry some broccoli with this and have it on a bed of cauliflower rice (I'll update later on how this turns out lol)

Xx

I'm loving this cooking malarkey! Getting right creative! Here's tonight dinner I've just wolfed it down it was amazing!

image-357024540.jpg

It kinda tasted like szechuan beef, the side order was cauliflower rice. If anyone would like the recipe I'll try and remember what I did but I kinda just go with the flow, taste and add lol xxx

Day 9 - PV

now week 1 is over I'll start writing my weight down weekly (I'll still weigh myself everyday, OCD! But I'll do my official weigh in on a Monday morning and report back here) :)

I think I can honestly say this is the longest I've stayed 100%, I think this May be down to my new found love for cooking and experimenting! That and having veggies the last 2 days!

Today will look like this:

B - total 0% yoghurt with added sweetener
S - jelly
L - tin of tuna
D - attempting sticky chicken tonight (see recipe thread) with my own adaptions

Thanks I'll try that maintainer. Do you think it's dangerous to be taking senokot every night??

Gosh. I don't know about "dangerous", but it's not a great thing to have to do as it's so "violent". I'd definitely try other methods if I were you. Remember that we don't eat as much fibre as before, so we don't need to go as often as before. In my humble opinion, laxatives should be last resort after a few days rather than a daily habit. Please stop!!

Your cooking is fabulous! You're getting so inventive and it might even motivate me to get cooking again one weekend! Keep those pictures coming!

How's the little one? How is your husband finding your diet? Has he changed his way of eating?
