Congrats. I jut finished my 2nd park run. Came in second to last I think. Oh well, loads of hills on that course and I could have stayed in bed so all positive thoughts!

Very well done Jen. I am sitting here THINKING about going for a run so you have certainly done a damn site better than me!

Hi all! Hoping to gate crash this thread.

I have just completed (earlier this morning) W1D2 of c25k. Planning on doing day 3 tomorrow. I know I should leave a days rest in between but couldn't run WTF this week cause I already had things on!

Got a feeling I'm gonna be sore in the morning, but used the power plates after my run, so hoping that eases the pain a bit...

Happy (?) Running folks

X

Did w5r3 this morning!
Just wanted to say to anyone just starting that it's amazing how much your fitness improves in a short space of time.
I ran 20mins this morning non stop! I cod do a minute at the start of the program!
Keep going!!
Jo x

Well done!

I completed W1D1! Yay! I was sweating buckets at the end but I felt great, even did a couple of extra minute runs. It just proves to myself that I CAN do it. Think I will wait until Monday to try W1D2 but might jump on the treadmill for 20 minutes and run for a minute then walk for two, just to help improve my fitness.

Wow if I am ever able to run 20 minutes non stop I will be so happy, that is a fantastic achievement!:D

Ok...so I have restarted my c25k journey as my running partner missed a few sessions last week. W1d1...tick!

Happy running everyone!xx

W1D2 DONE!:D

Excited that only have one more day left of week one before I move up, but also nervous about running longer next week!:whacky068:

Hi all I complete C25K early last year. Never managed to run 5k though. Hoping to get back to running but at the moment I have bronchitis, it's easing off but my chest still feels a bit tight.. I'm also away next week so hoping to restart when back.
Happy running everyone x

Well done you like you when I started in February 2013 I could barely manage 60s having never ran/jogged before. Size 18 then part way through my 13.5 stone weight loss journey I am now a size 12 and contribute jogging hugely to helping my weight loss. Today's jog :) <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=117647"/>

What app are you using. And did you find that running helped with the weight Loss.
I found for a few weeks I stayed the same but noticed inch loss which is just as good to me x

I found the same but then found it really helped keep the weight coming of I used the c25k app from zen labs it's free x

How did you get on with your most recent session?

Sorry Maria I have only just seen this! It hadn't been going very well since xmas, having 2 weeks off with cold and festivities really seemed to take its toll. My PT suggested allocating 2 nights a week to just running (I'd been adding runs to other classes so was already tired when I got on the treadmill) and tonight I went determined to break 3 mins......I did! I did Wk3R1 but with an extra 90secs run to finish. I have a class tomorrow but going to push through again Thursday. I feel a bit like I have broken the pain barrier so will keep going! I have to now, against my better judgement, I agreed to sign up for the Reebok Spartan race in August so I have to ramp up the training now!

Well done to everyone else on the journey :D

W1D3 done! I don't know if I've ever run as much in my life as I have the past week! Nervous about running for longer in W2 so attempted to run an extra minute and a half at the end of todays session and ran for 2 minutes:D so chuffed.

W1d2 completed today...hooray! Legs are a bitty sore, but I had aerobics last night, without doubt needing my rest day tomorrow x

Well done everyone, stick to the plan and don't overdo it and you will get there. x

Well I joined my local running club for a 6k tonight. Really held up the group but they didnt seem to mind doubling back. Really having trouble with breathing since it's got colder, gp reckons it's a resurfacing of asthma I had 9 or so years ago but the inhaler didn't help tonight...
