Hiya

Some counsellors do 1-2-1 (I do it that way) but some do group sessions.

Is totally down to each counsellor what they prefer.

I find the majority of my clients want 1-2-1 as they want to be able to have a good chat about the diet and questions they have regarding weight loss, stabilisation and more importantly long term slimness.

what about a consellor who never calls/emails u for support -- not very encouraging...and takes long to answer emails etc...

Hiya Nina

We are all independent and can do our own thing as such.

I would say though that there are now loads of counsellors around the country so if you feel your CDC isn't giving you what you need then you are the most important person in this and hence I would check what other counsellors are in your area.

I always recommend people call all their local counsellors for a chat and see which one they "click" with and then make their decision based on that.

How come they dont do classes like sw,ww, etc i think it would really help as u have the encoragment of the other members??
I do 'sort of' run a weekly class, but I have found that most people want to 'hit and run' rather than stay and chat. As Mike says, it seems with CD that it's more a 1-2-1 thing that people are looking for :confused:

Well done on your weight loss Nina, and it sounds as though you might need to have a chat with your CDC and let him/her know that you need more in the way of support.

i would love a class, i had been going back and forth between this and sw at the beginning so carried on going the sw classes coz i like the group session and the support u get. but when on cd i felt guilty being there like i was lying to them all. my daughter has been doing sw as its healthy eating and coz shes only 12 she can only go with a paying member so i still go for her aswell. But i do feel bad. even though i can ask my cdc what i want etc i would prefer a class i just think its good to know there is other people there doing the same etc
I love minimins though and get my support here and from a friend on here, so will just keep plodding along the way i am.
