Can anyone tell me what these mean????

    First meeting last night and the CDC used a Tanita Body Composition Analyzer.

    Its great as has lots of info like BMI, Body mass, % fat.

    But do you know what these mean:

    Low Carb
    I would guess ....

    BMR = Basal Metabolic rate ie your base number of calories you burn without doing anything other than existing

    Impedance must be to do with the resistance of the current the machine used - but no idea what it signifies, sorry :eek:

    FFM = Fat Free Mass Lean tissue + water I'd guess :rolleyes:

    TBW = total body weight

    If they make sense based on the numbers you've got, anyway ;)

    WOW! - Just had a look on a website - TBW is Total Body Water! Mine is 6st 2.5lb!!!! OMG!!!

    My fat free frame is 8st 6lb!

    Good Grief!

    Gives me more to aim for - imagine getting rid of all that water.......................
