  1. Hiya,
I'm not doing Slimming World. It's a diet called Lifestyle... a smaller organisation I think only in Scotland just now. It's a very similar diet to Slimming world so I wondered if it was ok for me to join in here?

I'm not sure what the differences are...It's years since I did Slimming world. We call a carb day the High Route and a protein day the low route. and we don't have syns but do have 200 extra calories a day.

Anyway I started last week and so far so good. I lost 3.5lbs at my 1st weigh in last night. I have this urgency to lose weight quickly though...Cambridge Diet mentality I think. I ended up just mucking about with CD though and I lost less over time than I would have done on a more conventional diet. So although I think CD maybe fab for some people it's not for me. I'm still left with this expectation to lose weight quickly though...so I maybe wasn't as happy with my 3.5lb loss as I should have been. This IS a diet I think I could stick with long term though so hopefully I'll get there in the end.

Hi and welcome, course you can join in on here everyone very helpful and friendly, well done on your 3 1/2 lb loss last night thats a gr8 start really. Have a look around the site there is lots of food diaries and receipes to read which I think you will find helpful. If you need to ask anything just shout and someone will help. The diet does seem based on SW so I'm sure you will get some benefit from here, also just talking about your experience and reading about others will help. Good Luck xx

Welcome :) I haven't heard of lifestyle but if its like slimming world it should be healthy and filling. Don't look for a quick loss, if you have quite bit to lose you're better off with a plan that fits round your lifestyle and lets you flippin' well eat when you're hungry, or you'll soon fall off the wagon. My loss is slow but steady and I feel like I'll be able to carry on and actually achieve target one day!
  5. Thank you Shrinking Sue. Dehli, I don't think your loss is that slow. 36lbs since the end of April is really good! Well done! I hope that I can do as well. i DO have a lot to lose but I'm trying to be content with slow and steady. I'm feeling relly good on the diet actually. Increased energy and I'm more alert. I'm also not hungry at all. i'm very glad I've started this but wishing I'd done it sooner. x
