Can you add tabasco?

I know you're not meant to eat anything else, but sometimes I like a bit of spice, and apparently capsicum is meant to rev up the metabolism, so wondered if anyone knows if its ok to add a couple of dashes of tabasco to the soups?

And wocestershire sauce? (again, only a couple of dashes). And fresh herbs?
Probably stressing about nothing, but wanted to check before I do it reguarly and then get all annoyed with a stall or something!
