I can relate to this as I bought my first size 14 jeans and was wearing them today. Had 2 neighbors saying that I am fine now and didn't need to lose more weight. When I look in the mirror I still see that I have a long way to go!

Yes, I think it's normal.

I'm now thinking that it won't be a REAL weight loss until I drop another stone barrier, or until I get my 4st award (it used to be 3st, but now I'm near that, it doesn't seem enough to warrant any celebrating).

Please believe other people when they tell you the difference - it is the best indicator that there's a change, as we see the same face in the mirror each day, so won't really see huge differences.

In saying that, some days will be better than others, and you'll look/feel slimmer than others.
It's weird, but certainly happens to me.

Yep, I totally know how you feel. I started at a size 24 and am now a 10, but I honestly can't see much difference in the mirror, but I can in photos. In the mirror, I still see a fat person, but in photos I have to look twice, I don't believe its me!! The first time I saw a photo of me this size, I literally didn't realise it was me at first. I advise you to take a full length photo, I bet you will see then the true you xx

My problem is I don't really feel fat, although I know I still look hideously fat in photos! I think its because 2 years ago I was nearly 3 stone heavier, so compared to that I feel a lot slimmer and fitter. The only way I can tell I'm actually losing weight is when clothes get looser.
