hi all
i want to try some cottage cheese
but have no clue which ones im allowed
i went into asda other day and was looking at the carbohydrates and fat etc
but i dont know what im looking for so i left it
please help

I think its the plain very low fat stuff that you can have.

Cottage cheese reduced fat - less than 2% fat on SS+ you can have 225g and on 810 plan you can have 325g. On 810 you can have 250g of the plain 5% fat cottage cheese - can't work out the maths for how much of that you can then have on SS+!!
 
Hi CandyCaz. In Sainsbury's they do a 'Be Good To Yourself' cottage cheese that is below 1% fat. They do a chive one too which makes it a bit more interesting or you could just add your own fresh chives because you are allowed to season with herbs. Morrisons do a virtually fat free one and I have had very low fat cottage cheese from Tesco before so you should be fine.

I think I might have half of my chicken allowance and half of my cottage cheese allowance with my green veg for tea tonight to make myself feel better about having three things on my plate as opposed to the boring two. :)
