chelle's little adventure - 1st stone award yeahhhhhh

#1
ok so ive pretty much been dieting all my life :(

ive done every diet available from weight watchers to slimming world and then from cambridge diet (where i put myself at deaths door) to having the go ahead for a gastric band.

to go back a couple of years i joined this forum and was doing weight watchers, i lost 3 stone and even though i was proud of myself i was suffering from really bad depression and had done since leaving secondary school.

then in october 2010 i met the most wonderful man imaginable, he pulled me out of a really dark place into being amazingly happy for the first time in my life.
he has been my rock and loves me for me, i can completely be myself with him.

i have PCOS and have quite alot of pain with this aswel as it making it a bit more difficult to lose weight.

but as the talk of babies and settling down keeps being brought up ive decided i need to do something about my weight, if not for myself for medical reasons and to make it a bit more easier to conceive.

i have been put on metformin to aid my weight loss and am also starting slimming world tonight

im really really excited as when i was on slimming world last time i lost over 2 stone and really enjoyed the variation of food i had.

ill stop rambling, sorry for the essay, cant wait to meet everyone and share stories :D

Hi. New here myself and feeling quite excited too. What better reason could you have to lose weight than to get healthy ready to start a family. Good things do happen to nice people. We just have to go through a lot of bad times first to appreciate it. Good luck with everything x

Thanks. I've been off work for a few months following an operation and i've got a bit wary of going out now for some reason .Think i've just lost confidence really and got used to being at home. Hoping losing weight will help me feel a bit better about myself. I've got all the books and stuff so having a go at doing it on my own but have to see how that works out .Might just be a bit too easy to cheat. Anyway good luck for tomorrow .Better in a way to be able to just get on with it now you've made up your mind x

i wish i had the will power to do it on my own but i know i will just eat what i want and think oh well no one will know.

ive thrown all "bad" stuff out the house tonight, practically thrown money away but oh well it will be worth it in the end, gonna go tomorrow night, read all the books and refresh my memory then go shopping on weds and stock up on goodies :) x

You must go:copon:

You will then be a Tuesday weigher, the same as I am, there is a thread for Tuesday weighers to keep in touch:DYou may not be happy at your weight this evening, but you are in the right place doing something about it - that is all you can ask of yourself:D

Good luck chelle, I'm just starting out too, but decided to do it with my husband and a friend and not go to a class. Probably silly idea, but I did a year of so of Slimming World 12 years ago and can remember all the Red and Green days in my sleep lol. You have a fantastic reason to get your weight down, I really hope it helps you, you make such a lovely couple and a little one would make life complete for you. Just keep your goal in mind and I'm sure you will get there. Having my husband know my weight is a really big thing so he will be extra proud of me when we have our weekly weigh in - I'll have to think of some forfeits if he doesn't stay on target too - I feel a foot massage or two coming on...

well if i have half as much success as you ill be well chuffed :)

to be honest the only change is the new easy extra plan, im still going to stick to my green and red days as thats what worked for me before, im also going to aim for 10 syns a day and 1 healthy A choice and 2 healthy B Choices as i did that last time too and that seemed to work

im just stressing about what to have for breakfast tomorrow now as im not doing my shopping till tomorrow afternoon and ive got to leave the house at 6am so wont have much time to eat anything.

any suggestions???

ive got so much support this time and i think that will really help, when i got home i spoke to the other half and told him how upset i was that i weighed alot more than i thought i did and he gave me a good talking to and reminded me of how much support ive got and that he will be there all the way etc, im not going to let myself get upset about it because ive made the first step to change things so its all good

im really looking forward to the week now :)

xx
