Chicken Drumsticks

Evening everyone!

Question....
I've found a recipe on this forum for sticky chilli chicken (thighs or drumsticks) and I know I'll have to remove the skin first, but is it safe to fry (before putting in the oven) the drumsticks with the bone still intact, or do I need to remove that too?

You can still fry with the bone in, It's fairly easy to debone a thigh using a sharp knife, but I think deboning a drumstick is nigh on impossible.
