Christmas Cake

The quark gets put with cottage cheese and philly types, in the big sainsburys or tescos at least. Think it's about 59-69p a pot in sainsburys so tis fairly cheap, I think you only need half a tub for one of these cakes :)

i wouldn't put it on again it's just fine without.

I was wondering about the topping. I bought some rum essence to try it. Maybe I'll make some topping and serve it at the side of the cake in case I don't like it.
 
I think some nice From Frais on the side would work well. I liked the topping but I did put a lot of sweetener in the quark. But probably best to serve it on the side. Also, the topping is better if you have a thin layer like on top of carrot cake.
 
I am going to try this method and swap the mincemeat for carrot and see how it turns out!
 
Just made this, mine is quite moist, more Christmas pudding consistency. It is sooooo tasty, I have had to come on here to stop me eating the whole thing!
