CornishTT''s weight loss diary

Re: My Atkins diary

Thanks WW, Katie, JG and Susie, your support means a lot to me. Daughter now has a bad cough, won't bore you with the details but it ain't helping, lol.

Anyway, I guess the main reason I am still on diet I don't want to gain any of the weight on again. I made a promise to myself NEVER to be that weight again. I know you should never say never but I said it and I mean it!

Another reason I am still on Atkins is because I have suffered so badly for so long with Candida and know if I were to lapse my symptoms would come back.

Lastly, I have my weigh box which is now at 18lb (it's heavy!) and I am loving the fact like JG my knickers reach my navel and my jeans are loose all over, up and down the leg as well! When I started I could just fasten them and couldn't bend in them.

I can't forget the fact that you lovely ladies are on here too, telling me of your trials and tribulations but also encouraging me. I haven't had support like this even when I did WW. Thank you!

Hope to finally start writing on your diaries soon, I am getting used to the lack of sleep. We have a viewing on the house mid morning I and when they've left I'm going straight to bed. So should be bright eyed when I wake up!

Sorry for the ramble but thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day x

Hope you got that sleep petal and that you're feeling more human now. Crap that your daughter has a cough - it never ends with little ones, does it?

Well done on your damage limitation, and on reminding yourself why you want to stay low carb. You'll be losing again in no time and those jeans will be falling off you. :)

Hope your daughter is feeling better now hun! You have a lot of anxious things going on - but try and remember, it will all lift - things will start going your way and you'll sort everything out soon, I know you will xxx

Hope you managed to catch up on your sleep, sleep deprivation is dreadful. I find I actually sleep better when I cut down on the carbs, apart from my dodgy knee and hot flushes, the joys of growing older!!

Re: My Atkins diary

Thanks guys, I am slowly getting there.

However, now I am lurgy-ridden. This is not good but I managed to have about 5 hours extra sleep yesterday as hubby took kids out while I dosed myself up with medicine and slept and slept. I am feeling miles better today but maybe not well enough to do day 2 of 30DS. It's a real shame and not an excuse as I hit the 16s and as suggested by Kimmi ages ago I was going to start it when I hit the 16s. I was also so motivated by Teeney and Kels doing it religiously.

Might go out for a walk if weather improves later, or just wrap up and go out anyway.

Hope you have a lovely day x

I think you have done amazing to keep on track all this time with limited sleep and now the bugs!!! I normally use excuses like this to go off plan so well done you!!! And fantastic news on the 16s :) yey!!!!!! Xx

Get your strength back before attempting the shred, you need to be well and full of energy to give it your all!! Xxx

My Atkins diary

Awe Hun poor you - as kimmi says you've done so brilliantly considering how little sleep you've been getting for so long. Just get your strength back up before you shred again xx.

Yes, Kellmo and Tee have done very well on it but we all have different challenges to overcome. Your little ones are still so little and need you much more. You have done brilliantly getting so low and you've made a huge difference in clothes fitting. So well done xx.

Good boy MR.A for helping you out and taking the little ones out for a bit.

Re: My Atkins diary

Thanks guys, I agree, not ready for shred just yet. I haven't attempted day 2 but did go to Pilates class yesterday and feel better for it today. I remember when I was at my fittest I used to 'power' through colds and it usually worked in reducing sick time (plus taking high vit C doses). I'm not talking a 3 hour workout but 30 mins to an hour always seemed to help.

I'm out tonight anyway so won't be attempting shred, but hope to be back on it tomorrow. I want to alternate it with cardio so it doesn't stall me too much. I am so chuffed with being in the 16s and the jeans are practically falling off me now. Belt at new notch now too.

Not long now n I must get more clothes!

Hope you all have a fandabby day, keep winning (sorry busy, I've swiped that!)

Re: My Atkins diary

So, last night a friend and I went to French restaurant Pierre le Bistrot (never knew there was a t at the end of bistro, lol, but would make sense with French leaving off last letter in pronunciation).

ANYWAY, I had amazing 9oz rib eye steak with Roquefort butter and a salad of 'frizzy frizzy' lettuce. I only ate half steak (could have devoured the lot but was full enough on half) and took it home in a doggy bag. Flash fry in a pan and have for lunch later!

As for breakfast, FOOD PORN ALERT

2 rashes bacon - fried, half avo - sliced, about 1 tsp gia garlic paste and about 4 small slices cheese, whack under grill and amazeballs! Did find it a little salty but I have been trying to cut down on my salt intake so that's probably why.

Hope you're all doing ok, I am going to attempt day 2 of 30ds later, here's hoping I manage it! Have a great day all! x

So just done day 2 level 1 of the 30DS and for some unknown reason I am still tensing my abs!? Just realised it as I am typing, Jillian would be proud! Feel good and hope to continue, modifying jumping jacks (JJ Arms but high knee marching for legs), jump rope (high knee legs and pumping arms) and butt kicks (butt kick marching and swinging arms). It may not be conventional but it is getting my heart rate up as much as the traditional exercises but not hurting my knee or ankle. Feeling pos! :D

Nowt wrong with adapting the moves! Saves you from doing yourself an injury then not being able to do more! x

Thanks Tee, still haven't done day 3 but I am taking it at slow pace as was still recovering from cold. I am feeling fully fit now and plan to go for my 2 days on 1 day off. Suse, the steak was FABULOUS! The Roquefort cheese was divine. I don't know why I didn't think of using that as a steak topping before, it is YUM!

On the WI front I have lost another 3lb, chuffed and slap bang in the middle of obese. Not something to be proud I guess of but considering I was just in very obese it is an accomplishment. I am setting my next goal to be when I come out of the obese section and enter the overweight category. According to NHS BMI chart I need to be about 14str, so 2st6lb to go. No set date just asap!

Hi guys, not posted much lately but have been lurking. Have just ordered a week's worth of Sns and see how I get on. It's not that I don't like atkins or I am bored, i just want to see quicker results! Am I being daft here, possibly, but I am determined to lose a substantial amount of weight before I go and see my in-laws this christmas. Everyone over there is slim and a fitness fanatic and hubby and I together probably weigh as much as 3 of them. SO, I am going to give atkins a bit of a break for a bit and start SnS and change goals. I am not going to continue with the 30DS but am going to amp up the walking to at least once a day (whatever the weather, 80mph winds even!) starting tonight. It can be my new routine, go out about 9pm for about 30 mins hard pace walk. I will also do atkins when I get to target, as love this woe.

I am always flighty in things when I don't think I am getting enough results, may end up regretting this but hey ho, let's kick this weight loss up a notch! I can understand that Atkins is kinda fits n stars but what frustrates me the most is that I haven't cheated (save the 2 small blowouts I had after stalling for a month) and I don't understand why I stop n start. Did I ever tell you I'm impatient? It's only a week and if I don't get on with it I'll switch back to Atkins.

Hope you all are well x

Re: My Atkins diary

Thanks guys, the motivation and support I get from here is wonderful!

I got my 'space food' (as Kell called it) yesterday and I am rearing to go. I read the booklet that came with the shakes (a first for me, usually I just wing it!) and I'm sure I know what I'm doing now. I am hoping the transition will be ok as am already in ketosis and hopefully won't be too hungry. One thing that did surprise me is it kept saying, "this diet is hard and you have to be in right frame of mind, etc etc etc" I was a little scared, lol. BUT, it hasn't deterred me!

I've got a week's supply and I'm going to give it my all. If this week goes well (ie, show some loss - I've stalled again - weighed myself this am and sts - and not hungry) I will buy enough for the the full 8 weeks till Christmas. I was reading that you can do it for 12 weeks but then you must add some foods for a week to continue. If I have a good loss during that time I will continue with it till at target then revert back to Atkins to maintain.

Hope you all have a great day x
