Cottage pie ?

How does everyone make there's ? I'm trying to think of things that I can cook for the whole family because I'm getting fed up of cooking for the children and then for me and hubby , so I thought cottage pie might be ok xx

Brown xtra lean mince with onions, garlic & beef oxo cube, fry light your vegies till soft, I usually throw in whatever I have there carrot swede peas etc... 1-2 more stock cubes with a little boiling water to make gravy, splash of worcestershire sauce, add mixed herbs. Boil swede & potato and mash together for topping. Put in oven for 20- 30 mins. Sometimes add a little cheese on top & return to the oven till bubbling.

I fry my mince and an onion and usually throw in chopped carrot and swede and sometimes a handful of peas wen cooked i put n dish top with mashed potatoes and then brush a beaten egg over the top as it crips the top mmmm
