Couch to 5 kilometres (C25K) Challenge!

Lol. Wot time u guna do it?x

I'm thinking in the morning about 9ish, as my hubby is taking daughter to play school and the baby will sit in his wee chair for a while after his breakfast ha. I'll probably be finished at around 9.10 hehe!

What time you starting?

It'll be the morning sometime. My OH is on nites, so I'll do it to give me something to do while he's sleepin... Even tho, as ya say, it won't take long. Xx

Aye, its literally half an hour. Mostly walking at first. 5 mins warm up walk, jog 60 seconds, walk 90 seconds and so on for 20 mins-ish and then 5 minute cool down. No bother to ye... Its unfit people like me who huff and puff lol ;) x

It's absolutely lashing here too, thank god I've a treadmill. I've had it about 5 years and I'd say this is the first time I used it constructively hehe.

Good luck x

Spare a thought for me out running in the wind and rain last night LOL! Was friggin soaked. Ah well ;)

Didn't find it too bad. Kinda was a bit tired at 15 minutes but once I did that jog it was grand after. 30mins went quick enough.

At least when you do it in the rain it'll help keep you cool. I don't mind walking in the rain if I can have a shower straight away after. Hard to get the baby in and out of the pram though without him getting wet.

I got tired around 16 minutes if I remember correctly. But then once I pushed on I actually felt fine? Strange isnt it.

Oh I was cool alright. :p The wind was cutting me but it was harder running against the rain when I turned back to go home, rain RIGHT in my face lol!!

Did it... Now sweaty, red n definitely 0% attractive. Lol. Guna go dive in d shower before ma man sees me like this.
I must be totally unfit as was pantin like an old dog afta the first few jogs... Didn't help the wind was blowin me all over the place, but I'm not blamin that... I am unfit. Lol. The only way is up tho, right girls???

Well done hon!! Fab stuff. Lol I was sweaty and red faced too so dont worry, you're not alone. I'm probably the least fit of us all as I havent ever really done a proper exercise regime before (lazy sod eh :p) I was panting too - we'll build up on the jogging though (I hope). I think I need to get my breathing right, I ended up with a stitch at around 23 mins in?

There are a few things I will do differently next time... Wil have food prior and more fluid... Although that'll guarantee me gettin cramp, but rather than than feeling faint... Oopsie...

Well done to you all for starting. I tried earlier in the year and was enjoying it until I hurt my knee. Make sure you are all wearing decent trainers as shin splints and overpronation can limit your enthusiasm! I will start again when I can buy some better trainers from a specialist running shop. If anyone is bored and wants to take a look at the on-going SW C25K challenge, it might be worth having a read through to see what pitfalls/problems etc they faced - http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-teams/194281-couch-5k-challenge.html

I will keep on watching your progress as one of them there cheerleaders for now xx
