Hi, I've mostly been having red days and have noticed an increased desire for sweet food, particularly stodgy things like cake. The reason I notice is that normally I don't have a sweet tooth at all and never used to want anything like that. It's all a bit frustrating as I now find myself tempted by (and occasionally buying and eating) synful food I didn't used to have. It's a whole new battle that didn't used to exist!

My OH reckons it's because of a lack of carbs in my diet - is this true do you think? Anyone else had a similar experience?

It certainly could be the lack of carbs, as they turn to sugar in your bloodstream. How about trying the extra easy plan, that way you won't need so many syns, or having more green days?

And if you really have to have some cake, try the sw versions. I used to make the carrot cake (with weetabix, scan bran etc) that was always nice. :)

Thanks guys, useful tips. Planning more green days this week and will look up that carrot cake recipe.
