    I wondered if anybody would be interested in a 'Daily Chat' thread ... somewhere we could meet for mutual support, talk about a nice recipe/report a bargain/ask advice :character00148:

    The CC forum isn't as busy as some other forums on Minimins so it might be somewhere we can have a general chit chat ... what do you think?

    Don't worry if nobody fancies it ... it's just a thought :)

    Hi there! Sounds like a great idea. I often find myself looking through other slimming threads etc just for hints, general chit chat etc. I'd prefer to stay within the cc pages coz we are all singing from the same hymn sheet!!
    Just to pop in and swap ideas ask advice or maybe get sidetracked from raiding the cookie jar!! It's good to know other like Minded people are around!

    Hi ya,

    I'm in!! I've noticed a lot of people are on the ww or sw but I don't think you can beat good old cc!! I was starting sf but I've decided to do a mix of sf and cc,whatever suits me really. And I tried HIIT workout today, hahahahah epic FAIL!!!! I'll stick to Zumba and davina!! Have you noticed all the girls on those workout vids are skinny anyway??!! Lol
    Anyone else got any funnys to share?? How often do you all workout if any,what do you do??

    Morning girls!

    Well Thursday morning is weigh day for me ... an ickle half pound off for me this week :) May not sound much but this is pretty much how my weight loss goes! I'll get there eventually lol

    Gaynor - don't swear! That E word does not get spoken in my house! My limit is 3 x 2 mile dog walks a week with the very odd Zumba session on Wii! Being a lady of more mature years than you whenever I bounce around I can't find myself too far from a loo lol

    What's everyone up to today? I have had to take an emergency day off as the locking system on my front door collapsed last night! I've already been to the hospital this morning with my daughter for an SOS orthondontist appointment so I guess it is just going to be one of those days :rolleyes:

    Foodwise, so far so good! 2 pieces of toast and an Activia yogurt. Jacket potato for lunch and SW quiche for tea ... yum!

    Haha!! Must admit when I go jogging I daren't take a bottle of water with me any more or drink before I go .. As I need to stop off for a wee along the way!! Not ready for tenna lady yet but I'm not able to trampoline for long!!! Hahaha!! Ali you are prob younger than me!! I'm 45 but mentally still 22!!
    Im having a bad food day! All my calorie allowance has gone on chocolate!! I'm due on at the weekend and the chocolate binge is something I just can't fight!! I will push myself to go out for a jog tonight to attempt to please my conscience!! But I just couldn't fight the choc urge today.
    !! I weigh on a Friday and a Monday. So hope not too much damage done! I'm pretty much at goal... I'm at the size I'm happy with but my weight is approx 10-7 at the moment but I would really like to see 10 stone exactly on the scales. I'm a size 10/12 which Is less than I ever dreamed I would slim to so I should be happy at that, but would just love that illusive 10 stone!!
    Are we ever happy!!! ??

    Hi ladies

    Weigh in for me today too and 3 off but Ive had a bug so I think that helped a bit ;)

    I dont do workouts but I have a treadmill which Im learning to like lol I put my music on and sing, until I run out of puff that is! I do have a word of advice tho ~ dont try and dance on a treadmill!! It doesnt work! :D

    hotsue - I know what you mean about that illusive ten stone! lol. I always get stuck at ten stone four.

    Hi ladies!

    I'm having a rubbish day too, had a sf shake this morning and then saw a ba of thorntons toffee at my local market for £1, love the stuff so I had to have it. Serves me right because its took half of my tooth away!!!!! Kids have had the rest! I haven't had any lunch and having pasta bake for tea so I'll have loads of salad with it.
    And as for the waterworks,the recommended 8 glasses a day are killing me!!! Do you all stick
    To 8 glasses??
    I only do 20-30 mins a day of the 'e' word!! I'm not that energetic and I have 3 kids to run after so I call that keeping fit!!
    Any loss is good btw, keep it up!

    Hey gaynor, I'm sorry to hear about your tooth! Ouch! I've been having problems with my wisdom teeth lately - been reffered to have them taken out at the hospital.

    I exercise three or four times a week for about an hour or so (30/40 minutes cardio and 20 minutes strength training) along with taking the dog for a walk and what not. I do probably get through eight glasses of fluid a day - but not water, sugar free ribena. (Hate water that is unflavoured).

    Count me in.

    My question is If exercise is so good for you then why does it hurt so much??? I'm at the stage where I have to grab the walls of the toilet cubicle to lower myself down coz my thighs hurt so much!!!! TMI??? :) x

    Ooouch!! I remember being like that last year when I first started the 30 day shred!! I literally had to hold on to radiator/ walls to get on and off the loo!! And couldn't cough or sneeze without grabbing my tummy muscles and desperately trying not to let them hurt!! , unfortunately that's what they do when they are used after a long rest!!! But it also means you have worked them hard!
    The only help is to not skimp on the stretching and cool down after a work out, it really does help pump new blood into the muscles you have used and help prevent soreness. But as they say "no pain, no gain" ; )))

    Sue, I'll be 45 in June! Eek! I got down to 10.10 last May ... Wanna get there again before my birthday :)

    Kiwi - I remember the pain well after strength training. Was a little enthusastic the other week and was aching non-stop for four days. My fault though, if you're hurting after strength training, maybe you're lifting too much? If after cardio - make sure you warm up and warm down and stretch afterwards! If I don't stretch my calves after running my shins tighten up - feels like shin splints!

    Mmmmm. Frankie and Benny's! I love it there and their loaded potato skins! I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend, although I am pretty sure I'm doing something with my friend this weekend, just not sure what yet! :) I will have to avoid alcohol though - maybe just a glass, not a bottle of wine!

    Haha. I have decided actually to just spend longer at the gym today. Preemptive strike! Ran 5 k this morning, that burned off enough, and when I put makeup on/do my hair I tend to have my headphones on and just sort of dance around when I do it. I am counting it as exercise! Lol. :)

    I bet not go over maintainence today though!!!!!!

    Wow! Good for you!

    Well I went to Frankie & Bennys and did NOT choose wisely lol. Chicken burger with bacon and philly cheese & fries! Hopefully it was a good sign that I didn't feel stuffed ... but I should have! When we got home we opened a bottle of fizz as we celebrated 22 years of being together on Thursday :)

    Planning on doing Shred today ... first time in a long time! Help!!

    Haha. 22 years that's amazing! I think I'm just calling this weekend a write off. Had quite a lot of wine last night. Was given some left-over cake from my boyfriend's nephews birthday party. couldn't say no, they had cut it and left it for me especially. Lol. I will be back on full form tomorrow. Will be interesting too, as my weigh in is in the morning!

    i did my first 1 mile walk with Leslie sansone last night wow i am really unfit but least im on the right track now food sorted now just need to get off the couch everyday now when home from work not start watching telly lolol
