I was fine this morning and full of determination but things have gone pear shaped since then :sigh:

I took the kids to a play centre that does lovely home made cakes and scones but i didn't have any. It was so hard to resisit. Everything seems like torture today, the kids eating crisps in front of me, other half with a plate of cheese on toast arghhh. Just went for kip to try and forget but just thought about food. Please let this get easier soon

I'm doing it the cambrige way!
    It does!!!!
I don't feel hungry now I'm in ketosis... but I do still crave stuff.
My 5yr old son was at a party today with nibbles and snack galore, that was really hard...
For me it's just a case of wanting to be slim more than I want those snacks!
But you did it and stayed strong... Pat yourself on the back and go and look through some before and after photos to remind you why you are doing it!

    common sense, everything in moderation
    Hi there,
I must admit that for me the first 10 days were the hardest. Everywhere I looked there was food. On the tv, people eating in the street, in magazines and newspapers. Everywhere. But after my first 7 days I weighed 12lbs less and this kept me going into week 2.
Remember you are breaking the habit of a lifetime - it is the easiest and hardest diet ever - but it gives amazing results

Oh Rolo, I really feel for you! We've all been there. The first 3 to 4 days can be a real struggle whilst you wait to get into ketosis. Home made cakes and cheese on toast!

I hope you're feeling really proud you managed to resist, that is some temptation that was put in your way.

I promise it will get easier if you hang in there :)

I'm not too bad now. I did some gardening to take my mind off it. I'm just trying to focus on friday when i get my first weigh in and hopefully a big loss. I can do this!!

    Don't diet anymore!
    Hiya Rolo

The first week is tough, but it also means after the first week it gets no tougher and in fact gets much easier so please hang in there for us.

Drink the water, get busy, treat yourself to a new book or CD, plan a holiday on the internet, go on the Minimins arcade!! but just don't eat.

Ketosis should kick in by the middle of the week and it will help you so much and take the physical hunger away and then you will be amazed at the speed the scales fall.

When you said I can do this you need to think I will do this and that's the end of it.
