I feel awful today. I am dizzy and can't stop thinking about unhealthy food and how i REALLY REALLY want some. I am determined not to fail but I just feel awful. Do you guys get like this or is it just that I am a week pathetic loser?

Nope i was like this yesterday ( day 10 for me). I just wanted to eat. In the end i went for a walk then went for a long hot bath.

This morning i feel great again and no hunger pangs.

Hang on in there, drink water and more water, distract yourself and tom you should feel better.

    Hey
I am an day 4 and I have been really craving junk food today but I know i'm not hungry it's just cravings. Of course you're not a loser, you've done really well sticking to it for 5 days, just keep thinking about your weigh in.

you are not a weak pathetic loser - its quite normal to feel like this and once you hit about day 7 and have your weigh in it will all be worthwhile!
We all get like this especially in the first week - I get wobbly days have had to make pancakes this week for all my family and I probably would have killed for one but then I felt that my trousers were looser and I imagined how I would feel in June on my hols in a nice swimsuit
Keep hanging in there and come on here for support
    LOL

I am on Day 2 of Cambridge Diet and have struggled. I have even had every argument with myself, saying that perhaps I should have done Slimming World that could be more sustainable, or that a chicken kebab from the takeaway couldn't hurt. Yet, I have not strayed!!

Finding it far harder than I thought, and don't know how the heck people stay on this for months.

I need an injection of motivation!!

I agree it is perfectly normal for you to be feeling this way.
One reason will be that your body is realising that it is getting so many less calories at it is trying to convince you to 'fix' this but you are not starving and so nothing needs fixing.
It is tough but you should know there is light at the end of the tunnel and just think how amazing you will feel when you get up tomorrow knowing that even though you really struggled you have stuck to your diet and didn't give up on what you want.

I know that when get weak like that I am likely to really want to eat (everything) and I will struggle a lot. Because I know my close family don't like to see me 'suffer' I have asked them that when I get like that to remind me of why I am doing it and help me stay strong and that if I do want to stop the diet that I should do it by planning several days- a week in advance so that I am not doing it based on these bad times. It is just a thought but that has come up and has given them more strength to push me and I have been grateful for it when the mood passes.

I'm not sure how clear that all is, I didn't feel like I could get all my thoughts out quick eneough :p

we all get like this - go on the inspiration slide show its fab for keeping you motivated and think you can do SW when you get into healthy weight range or to keep at goal once you are in maintenance.
Ive done a deal with myself that I can only SS until 2wks before my hols then i will have to do maintenance until my hols so my body doesnt have 40 fits when i eat FOOD on my hols and thwen when i get back Im going to do WW or SW to get the last stone off.
If you have a goal in mind of how long roughly you want to be on it for it may help.
I did it for 16 wks last time and once the weight starts dropping off it and people start to notice it definitely keeps you motivated and feeling as if it is all worthwhile
Keep your chinm up the first week is ALWAYS the hardest!

    LOL
