    I'm in a vaguely similar position. Lots of attempts to re-start and I really feel that this time I've cracked it. Am over half-way through week three and feeling very much 'in the zone'. Stick with it and come on here if you feel your motivation wavering. Good luck with round 2 and getting to goal.

    I know. You could smell the BBQs from every direction. Really would have liked to have one too but hey - next year!! Well done for being strong.

    I read this and it is pretty much what I posted in my diary this morning: See below.

    "So day 21, week three weigh in and no surprises. I am a total of 4lbs down this week. Taken as a week's loss I am really pleased with that. But I was 3lbs down on Wednesday and another 1lb down on Friday so in three days the scales haven't moved and in five days they've only moved by 1lb. I mustn't get sucked into this daily weighing lark. If I had weighed this morning to have found I'd dropped 4lbs in a week I'd have been thrilled. As it is I'm a tiny bit peeved that I'm the same weight today as I was on Friday. Anyway, 4lbs off is nothing to sniffed at. I have officially lost 1st in three weeks and am hoping that by next week I will have reached my first goal of 16st. And no weighing until next Monday!!!!!"

    I also only lost 8lbs in my first week and was disappointed as when I did Lipotrim, the first time I did a VLCD in 2011, I lost 12lbs in my first week so to only do 8lbs was disappointing. Then in week two I only lost 2lbs compared to 7lbs on LT and then this week, as is documented, I've lost 4lbs as opposed to 2lbs when I did LT. Try not to be too disappointed. Keep going and weigh in next Sunday. I am going to try and stay off the scales and only weigh weekly from now on. Wish I had the willpower to only weigh monthly.

    I have been up & down this stone bracket for ages. This month is it though, got to get into the 12s by August. No more excuses x

    I'm weighing daily but official day is Wednesday. Been laid up with a foot injury but joined a couple of the challenges to try keep me on track x

    Welcome back. Hope you are able to stay with it this time. I'm still here as you can see. It's not been plain sailing but I'm sticking with it and riding out the blips.
